I found this on sale at $39.99 and quickly snapped it up. Activated it on RingPlus and couldn't be happier. It's a great phone. Haven't used the camera much yet. Note that it doesn't have a flash if that's important to you. Otherwise, very responsive device.

Motorola phones gets Android updates as soon as they become available and I am pleased to report this phone is no exception. The hardware spec and performance is more than adequate for an entry smartphone. My only wish is the battery would come in a larger capacity.

It's a stupidly cheap phone that provides more value than what I paid. For a backup phone, this exceeded expectations.

Best Budget Smart Phone

This is the current the best budget smart phone. The display is a beautiful IPS panel protected by Gorilla glass, excellent contrast, excellent color, sufficient resolution and brightness. It is fast enough to run everyday apps. The cellular radio is excellent, much better than another budget phone I have bought for the same carrier. The GPS is amazingly fast when it comes to find where are. The main camera is nothing extraordinary, but takes decent photos with a good lighting condition. Plus a long lasting battery (I am a light user, it can last a week on a charge) and solid build quality, I cannot ask more for the price I have paid.

It activated on Ringplus for me -- just make sure you activate it on their network before turning it on -- and it makes phone calls. That's all that matters for a phone, so it works well.

This is a great no frills phone that works on ringplus. Do NOT start the phone with a sprint sim card in it. Register the phone with ringplus before you turn it on. Then you're golden.

I lived with a busted screen on Moto G for a year because I liked the phone so much. I only replaced it when it became nonfunctional. The store did not have the phone I wanted, so I chose the Moto E based on reviews and the fact that this was a newer version of the G. It is terrible. The camera takes terrible pictures and doesn't even have a flash. The phone randomly shuts off while using it. The battery life is terrible. I sometimes get echoing on my end when talking to another cellphone and others cannot hear me unless I speak directly into the phone. I have had this phone for about a month now and I hate it.

I like this phone better than the Moto G. I love that it has an expandable memory slot (for SD Cards) !I also like the interface. It hasn't given me any real problem so far, so it's awesome. I just wish that the battery could be user removed of it did ever freeze up.
