I really only wanted to get the game because it's Ratchet and Clank at home, or wish.com Ratchet and Clank, with some slick Kung Fu back flipping and typical open world stuff. That's what I got. It's definitely rough around the edges and doesn't look the best. It was also concerning that the day 1 patch was already at version 2.01. But it's a small development team and they did some good stuff and will update over time. Not worth the full price but worth $30-40 easily.

Fun game. Not as good as the previous one but its still well done. Especially for 8 bucks.

This is the best Borderlands yet, but it's not anything fundamentally different from the prior games. It's bigger, better looking, and has far more variety in skill choices for each class - lending it more replayability. The developers have also made frequent updates since launch and seem committed to improving skills and weapons that are underused so that you can really play effectively however you want - shotguns, melee, sniper rifles, whatever.

Big fan of all the prior Borderlands titles but had a really tough time getting into this one for some reason! I easily put nearly 100 hours into Borderlands 1 and 2, maybe a bit more. It is still enjoyable and looks great, but there is something about the original one(s) that have a particular charm in their visuals, audio and gameplay.

Great addition to borderlands series. Long story and plenty of replay value by yourself or with a friend.

You'll like Borderlands 3. Pretty much the same game with upgraded graphics and some new characters. Easy to pick up with similar mechanics.

Let me start by saying BL2 is my favorite shooter/looter of all time, but BL3 is bad. I would even go as far as to say this game is not even as good as the pre-sequel, and that is saying something. Cons: Returning character design; it's as if someone was asked to draw these characters from memory. I get that the game is set in the future, but the only returning characters that looks the same is claptrap and Hammerlock. Gameplay/design; familiar, but feels like I am playing a bad clone. Larger more emptier maps make for wastefulness. Nothing to do in these larger areas that eat up ram for no good reason. Guns; too many guns are a bad thing, especially when you can only carry 4. Pros: Story is cool, but it feels as if this game should have been DLC for borderlands 2. New protagonist really need their own story, not to continue one. Main antagonists are good, I liked their dialogues. Vault bosses/battles were cool. Maps were really well done, art work is amazing as usual. New enemies are a welcome! It feels as if this well has ran dry for gearbox, as this game feels more like a DLC and not its own thing so I would wait to get this game when the dlc bundle comes out and it's only $20.
