was looking for a silent dishwasher and it truly is!

I purchased this dishwasher because of the name and it was considered an upgrade because the Samsung we wanted was out of stock. From day 1, it wasn’t cleaning my dishes and I had to towel dry them all before putting away because of the standing water on top of everything loaded. And this was also after selecting the “Extra Dry” button. After a phone call, the tech came out and ordered a new heating element and rinse aid compartment. Since the repair, I’ve learned to fill the rinse aid compartment more than full up almost running over and I try to unload them before it cools off. The tech told me once it cooled, the evaporation would set in. I’m just dealing with it but I’ve had cheaper dishwashers that did a better job than this one. Save your bucks guys.

we are getting used to a new design in stacking plus having a third level.

Purchased this machine with installation / the installer first complained about the set up of our kitchen and convinced us that it was “very complicated installation” best left to our contractor. We left it uninstalled. Our contractor advised that the installer was misrepresenting the facts. We then rescheduled for a few weeks later and the same installer put the machine in and it does not work. The service plan we bought then advises that it will be several days before they can fix it. Thanks for nothing.

After happily owning a Bosch dishwasher for 20 years, I just assumed I could pick a top of the line Bosch replacement and be happy with it. Wrong. No matter what settings I used, all silverware, 3rd rack items and some plates were still wet when I unloaded and had to be hand dried. Unless I waited many hours, in which case glasses and silver were wet AND spotted. Items on the 3rd rack didn't always get clean. Best Buy was great about arranging an exchange for another brand.

Difficult to load efficiently, racks are too close together making it dislike larger items

So I just got this new dishwasher installed a couple of days ago. We went with Bosch because of its reliability. We had one for 14 years prior but it didn't clean worth a darn. Then I bought a $1200 Kitchen Aid and it died after 3 yrs and they wanted $742 to repair it. Kitchen Aid and best buy did absolutely nothing to help. A TOTAL waste of time. So we are back with Bosch. Definitely quiet! Had to put my ear against the door to be sure that it was running. I'd say it cleans well. I probably overloaded it the first time because of being without one for so long and I had a ton of dishes. The upper basket seems be able to handle less dishes than my kitchen aid. Although the bottom rack handled more plates than my kitchen aid. The 3rd rack is good, you can place a lot of bowls and utensils there. I'm sure that it takes a while to get used to it. The racks do not slide out very nicely. They seem to get hung up a lot. There is a little bit of moisture that can build up, but no real reason to lower the rating, it's just a different drying technology. I really really hope that I will still feel positive about this machine in 3 years, which by the way is how old my $1200 kitchen aid was when it died.

After about a year the inside of the machine was constantly greasy. Called Bosch customer service and was told it was my detergent. Changing detergent didn't work. One year and two months after purchase the machine is no longer working and I have to pay for repair. Repair is almost as much as the dishwasher cost new. Very unhappy.

I bought my Bosch series 800 in May 2018 and liked it very much...it’s very quiet and that’s why I bought it! My husband and I lightly use a dishwasher averaging a load a week but it exceeded our expectations. All was great until the end of August when we got error code 15. Pray this is something you don’t get as it means almost anything could be wrong. In my case, it apparently meant everything was wrong I called Best Buy Geek squad and was told they couldn’t come for 2 weeks so suggested I call Bosch since it was still under factory warranty. I called Bosch and they had a tech out the next day. Great! He reset it, fiddled with, declared it working and the probable cause to be a clog in my pipes. He suggested we snake the hoses and so we did that later the same day. We found no clog. I cooked and before loading it, I found the dreaded error code 15 was back and a non-functioning machine. I called Bosch again and scheduled another repair for 10 days out. The tech came and advised, the mother board was dead, the ingress and drain pumps likely needed to be replaced as well as their hoses, plus a few other issues. He suggested I call Best Buy and ask for a replacement since it was so new. As suggested, I called Best Buy, after 2 hours and 6 or 7 retellings I was told I had to go through Bosch. I called Bosch and asked for a replacement as I was concerned with the magnitude of repair for a new dishwasher. I never received a response beyond it was a management decision. I called again and received the same response. It’s been a month without a dishwasher and my next call was from the tech advising he was coming today to repair the machine. He just left, he says it’s fixed and is basically a refurbished dishwasher as he replaced hoses and motherboard. I didnt want a refurbished dishwasher. At this point, my confidence in the dishwasher is low and having received no response from Bosch on replacing a probable lemon machine, I would not recommend this pricey dishwasher nor Bosch.
