This one not only sounds good, but looks good too. The Geed Squad set this up, when they installed our TV. We had a heck of a time pairing it to the soundbar, had to download the app to do that. Still not sure how to control the subwoofer with the app. It doesn't come with instructions,

We're sorry to hear that you had some difficulty setting up the product. The Bose Music app is engineered to provide the smoothest setup possible, and we appreciate your feedback. You can pair the bass module either with the remote or with the app. (On the remote, simultaneously press and hold the Bluetooth and Play/Pause buttons for about five seconds. The soundbar light bar pulses white while connecting to the bass module and stops pulses once connected.)
The bass module itself does not have audio settings, however, you can adjust the bass and treble of the soundbar with the app and the bass module will adjust accordingly. These settings can be found in the Bose Music app under My Bose > Soundbar 500 > Tap the product image in the lower-right > Adjustments.

The subwoofer definitely makes a huge difference vs the soundbar alone. The only difficulty was connecting the two, due to an outdated manual. Ultimately I had to contact Bose and it was a simple procedure to get it done.

I already set the app to increased dialogue but the woofer made a great improvement especially after slightly adjusting the settings to my taste.

However, getting to it to connect the first time was not so simple. Once connected, however, it has performed flawlessly and sounds great! The Bose Sound Bar 500 sounds great on it's own but even better with this subwoofer. I do recommend it!

SET-UP WAS EASY USING THE BOSE APP THE BOSE MODULE 500 ENHANCES THE SOUND WITHOUT OVER POWERING IT. HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Honest review this will do right , I have both this one and the 700 and this one is slightly quieter than the 700 but the 700 just seem better built.
