Right after the return period ended this expensive box started making random popping/crackling noises that did not coincide with the program being watched. Very disappointed in this product

Hi, thank you for reaching out. It is surprising you are getting crackling and popping through your bass module. As This can sometimes be caused by interference, I would recommend making sure your router is 5ft away from your soundbar and bass module.

I loved it.. but then I didn’t. I ended up returning it because of a popping sound that would come up when having it turned up loud.

      Hi.
Thank you for your post. Sorry to hear that you are not happy with the Bass Module 500 sound. Depending on the soundbar, I suggest that you run the ADAPTiQ calibration to optimize the sound for your room. Also, you can adjust the bass level in the Bose Music app to suit your preference. If you require assistance with this, please get in touch with us here. https://bose.life/3BgUIIU. We would love to help.

Annoying popping sound. According to Bose it’s caused by interference. Solution: wire it to the bar (which defeats the purpose of a wireless speaker) or remove all wireless equipment surrounding the soundbar/speaker. Unfortunately I missed the return window.

Must have add-on for Bose soundbar

I paired this bass module with my Bose 500 soundbar. Was really easy to add to my setup using the Bose app. It does come with instructions but all they say is to plug in the speaker, install the bose music app, and then follow the instructions in the app to add as a accessory. Pretty straight forward I guess. Just search for accessories and it found and paired immediately. The Bose 500 soundbar had some nice bass to it already but this really enhanced the sound. Now I have that really low deep bass I didn't even know I was missing. You can also make adjustments in the Bose app if you want to add or remove bass. I feel that this speaker puts out the same amount of bass as my older sub which was a bit bigger. I wish they would include this with the soundbar but at least they give you the option to add one. In all this is a great addition to the supported soundbars if you have one.

      Hey,

We're sorry that you're experiencing a popping sound with your bass module. To identify if the issue is interference, we'd recommend connecting the bass module via a 3.5mm to 3.5mm cable. If the issue is resolved, then we'd suggest looking at the environment the system is set up. Ensure that nearby electronics are moved further away, plug the bass module directly into mains and bypass any power strips, etc. However, if the issue remains, we'd love if you could contact our customer support for further assistance - https://bose.life/2WZOG8Z.

The Bass Module 500 has thunderous bass in a compact,10-inch cube with wireless connectivity. It is easy to hide, but even easier to hear. You do not need a big box for big bass!

The easy of setting this up was fast. The sound is outstanding makes one feel like they are in a theatre. The design is modern yet can go with any decor. Small enough that it doesn't take up much room. Really enhances your listening expereince.
