That kit pooped out after less than a year because the base module had some kind of issue that required it be sent in for repairs. It was under warranty but a pain the the butt to deal with. It lasted for years after that before a different connection issue set in that would require service on my dime. I loved the sound but felt more like replacing it with something new so I bought this bass module and corresponding sound bar. Again the sound is awesome but it was finiky to get set up and less than 90 days later I'm getting a weird intermittent popping though the bass module. It's not related to anything that I can tell. It just sounds like a mediocre product dying. I've gotten feed up with bose products. I know I can get phone suppoet but feel unwilling to spend an hour on the phone with James' cool British accent to end at "you need to send it in." The sound is great but it's a speaker.. this isn't complicated to make this reliable, is it?

Our technical support team will recommend that you send us the bass module - simply so we can look at your product and resolve any underlying issues that may be hardware related. I recommend that you situate the bass module within 30 feet of your soundbar to eliminate and connectivity related sound issues. However, if you do continue to experience these issues I do recommend getting in touch with technical support to establish the cause of your problem and run through relevant troubleshooting.
