I paired this with my SoundTouch and it works pretty well. I think if you get the newer sound bar you can control bass levels and volume but with the older model sound bar you can not. If you’re buying this, I recommend going with the newer 700 model soundbar even though it’s a considerable amount more money.

I thought it was wireless, and then after that, it took a little bit more to adjust, not too many options. Ended up having to return it because just was not satisfied with the overall sound so went with the next model up.

This bass module is indeed wireless, but there may be exceptional circumstances where you have to connect it via a cable, e.g. in cases of heavy signal interference. This subwoofer is the usual high quality that you'd expect from Bose but way too much woofer for that soundbar IMO - even turned down to half volume. I'd probably upgrade to the 500 soundbar if I could have a "do over".
