    Love the sound only thing that i disliked was it does not connect wireless needed cable and was not included aswell

    Keeps on randomly popping

    It keeps making popping sounds almost like blown but its not. I’ve researched it and the advice is to not get it next to other wifi devices, like smartphones and smart televisions. Um, it’s 2024 and its a home theatre system! I can’t get it farther from the TV. Good sound when working properly.

      Thank you for sharing your experience with the Bass Module 500. I am glad to hear that you like the sound of your bass module but sorry you are experiencing popping sound sometimes.
      You can have the bass module near other devices such as a smartphone or smart televisions. But if you are often experiencing this audio artifact, I would recommend connecting the bass module via the interconnect cable directly to your TV.

    “Wireless” Base Module Popping/Cracking, unusable

    Sadly in the process of returning the Base Module 500 Wireless Home Theater Subwoofer along with the 700 Soundbar back to Best Buy. Have long been a huge fan and loyal costumer of Bose, yet the popping and cracking from the “wireless” subwoofer is absolutely inexcusable. Have moved it all around the room, reset multiple times and tried all troubleshooting options online with no resolution. The sound is amazing and what I would expect from Bose WHEN it works. However, I can’t keep a flawed product. Bose needs to identify this issue and provide a real fix to their hardware/software. I’m left with testing to see if Sonos has a better product.

    When working it worked great. After a couple uses, it started making like a knocking sound. Googled it n maybe connection activity but I dknt think it was the problem. I just returned it. Going to give it another try n maybe I just had a bad lemon. Plus not great directions pretty broad

    I purchased this sub and the matching soundbar to go with a new Sony LED TV. Being an owner of a Bose Cinemate 130 system, I was hopeful that this pair would produce a similar experience. I found it to be a decent set up, but eventually returned it in favor of the Sony 900F sounder/sub that has similar performance at about half the price.

    VERY deceptive sales & marketing by Best Buy. They sell this Bass 500 "Wireless" subwoofer, in a "package" with a Bose TV Speaker soundbar. No mention of other itmes needed for it to work ! But when you open up the Module 500 setup instructions, it simply states that IF you are using it with a Bose TV Speaker ( not a Smart Soundbar) then you need to connect it via a 3.5mm audio cable ( not included). A WIRELESS Subwoofer - that needs a WIRE ( not included) to work with the soundbar they packaged it with. What a bunch of crap - bait n switch.

    Simple interface with Bose Smart Sound Bar 300 using interconnect wire. App and setup too difficult to use for adjusting sound of Sound Bar. App interface should be via Bluetooth not Wi-Fi.

    I bought it because I had one previously with a Samsung system. If I had it to do all over I am not sure I would have spent the money. The soundbar is great itself. Maybe next time I would opt for the surround speakers instead. I just don't think it adds much to the overall experience.
