You should not purchase the soundbar without the bass module. This thing rocks! The bass is so deep and clear. Rocks the entire room. And it's adjustable. It's a beautiful piece of tech also so it will look great in your room.

Worth the money! Makes the sound bar sound even better.

Great Bass and Best Quality Always Bose! Never Disappoints In Sound Quality!

I bought the Bass Module 500 to go with my Soundbar 700 and rear wireless Bose Surround Speakers, and I couldn't ask for anything better! I'm totally satisfied with the bass performance from this compact cube, and does a great job as filling my living room with thunderous bass and low-frequency sound effects (it has performed flawlessly for films like Fury, John Wick, Black Hawk Down, and Saving Private Ryan, among many other action and war films). If you're considering the Bass Module 500 over the 700 due to cost, or if you live in an apartment and fear that the 700 may be too powerful, then don't hesitate to go right for the Bass Module 500. You won't be disappointed!

This Item really CRANKS!! The one thing I would add about this is make sure not to bump it anything. I will rattle the furniture it touches. Keep it from touching anything. Ruins the bass effect. A GREAT little subwoofer...really pumps out the bass. Control is in the app.

I am using this in conjunction with the Bose Soundbar 500. Overall, I am impressed with the bass produced from such a small, light subwoofer Pros: - Bass settings are easily adjustable through the Bose Music app - Deep lows are very pronounced and this sub can be a room shaker with the right settings - Bass does not overpower the highs/treble from the soundbar Cons - Only one con. There are certain frequencies that come across as shallow when playing. It's a bit odd since the bass sounds and "feels" deeper if I'm hearing it in a different room but while in the room the music is playing the bass sounds a bit weak. This is the only reason I reviewed with 4 stars instead of 5

I am very impressed with the Bose base module 500. It is easy to set up and operate. It works great with the Bose sound bar and gives me great quality surround sound.

Just what I was looking for. Paired up with my Bose 600 soundbar easily and added the needed base but not over doing it. Build quality is premium as with Bose. My set up is for gaming in a bedroom sized room

The subwoofer was used in conjunction with the Bose 500 soundbar. Overall setup was a breeze and maintaining the wireless connection was also very very stable. The bass lows was very, very good especially with music but not so much on movie soundtracks. But do not get me wrong the subwoofer was rocking my den and walls. This is a keeper but I feel for the price the bass from the subwoofer should be off the chart be it for music or movies.

The subwoofer has the great bass sound that I was expecting to hear from Bose and it was easy to connect the module to the system. I am less happy about the mobile phone interface, which seems to have plenty of features, but a not-so-intuitive way of maneuvering from feature to feature. I am sure that once I work out how to use the interface, it will be smooth sailing, but I really wish that Bose had given more thought to how people are going to access the settings and other features. I would recommend this with some reservations. It sounds great, but I needed some patience to figure out how to use the interface.

This product, designed as an addition to the Soundbar 500 adds a strong bass and makes the product that much better! When I use it, I can definitely notice an increased sensation of bass and I can feel it much more. I have noticed that it sometimes lacks depth, which is a problem for such an expensive subwoofer. Setup was easy and I loved the app for control. Overall, I would recommend this if you have money to spare, but it isn't necessary.

The bass component (sold separately from the sound bar 500) wirelessly connects easily enough when you plug in the power. It provides a great deal more bass, with the articulation you would expect from Bose. No complaints at all. However, I am removing a star because I feel that the 500 system is lacking in mid-range which makes music and some vocals sound hollow. There are better options out there (even from Bose).

If you have a Bose Soundbar 500, you need this. It really takes the sound to the next level. The little 10" cube really pumps out the bass. Not boomy, and plenty deep. Pairs easily with the Soundbar 500 and operates seamlessly with it. If I had to nitpick, it's just a plain black cube, not very stylish if you happen to have to put it in a visible location.

Great sound with the soundbar! However, because it’s Bluetooth, it has trouble connecting sometimes.

This is an amazing compliment to my Bose TV Speaker. I only wanted it to use with my PC for Gaming, Movies, Music, and Video Editing. It sound incredible. It is robust and provides the experience that I desired.

If you need to (and you may not) up the bass over the already rich bass of the Bose 500 sound bar, The perfect answer is to up the system by adding the Bose 500 bass speaker to the mix. Attractive and very functional. the 500 system works with Alexa. - nice.

If you’ve purchased the Bose Soundbar 500, this bass unit is a virtual necessity. Unfortunately, it nearly doubles the price while adding significantly to the sound quality. The bass module connects wirelessly with setup handled through the Bose Music app. With it enabled, the Soundbar's frequency response gets the kind of boost you’d expect. Since it’s wireless, you can set it up anywhere that’s convenient and has an outlet nearby. The wireless connection is fantastic with all the music played in perfect synchronization and with no distortion, not an easy task. While it adds much, the overall sound still does not come close to a mid level component system. It’s too bad this doesn’t work on its own or with a separate transmitter. The wireless aspect would be nice to add to other systems.
