For the money you get a nice package with a very cheap 5" woofer inside. There is no appreciable bass below 80hz and virtually none at higher volumes since a driver that small cannot physically produce deep bass at loud volumes. It is very easily outclassed by everything else in it's price point. I do not recommend this unit unless you are hopelessly married to Bose products.

It's an excellent must-have add-on to watch movies with better sound quality and effects. It's straightforward to pair with bose soundbar.
