For the money you get a nice package with a very cheap 5" woofer inside. There is no appreciable bass below 80hz and virtually none at higher volumes since a driver that small cannot physically produce deep bass at loud volumes. It is very easily outclassed by everything else in it's price point. I do not recommend this unit unless you are hopelessly married to Bose products.

I bought the soundbar and this was the obvious partner...but the bass is not as powerful as I expected. I have adjusted the settings via the app (the only way it is possible, to my knowledge) and it just doesn't rumble as intensely as my previous non-Bose subs. Still a nice compliment to the soundbar...
