We're disappointed to read your comments. For a simulated surround sound experience from a soundbar you might consider the Bose SoundTouch 120 or SoundTouch 130. They offer Bose proprietary technology that will measure your room's acoustics and tune the system to your room.

But does not play as well as my surround sound does. I miss the surround sound but my wife does not like all the speakers. So I tried this. Great sound but not surround sound by any means.

It sounds great, what you'd expect from Bose. The only things I don't like about it is that the sub is huge and there's no visual display of the volume and/or any settings for the speakers. Oh, also the sub can't be controlled by the remote.

Posted .Thank you for taking the time to write your review. We want to let you know that there is a bass control that can be used to reduce the bass to your liking. It is located on the connection panel for the bass speaker. Rotating the knob counter-clockwise turns down bass response, rotating the knob clockwise turns up bass response. The center of the bass knob is detented, indicating the default level.
Straight Up Theater Sound

The sound is clear and plenty loud enough. If you having a hard time understanding and not hearing this is the system for you.

It just depends on how deep you want to put your hands in your pockets. You can't go wrong at this price range for the CineMate 15! Deep full sound!!! I highly recommend this unit.
