Very good sound quality. Bass production is also decent for the size. I've purchased quite a few sets of these for home and several of my music studios over the years. I have noticed a little inconsistency with volume levels, and even the loudest doesn't really get that high... I'd recommend experimenting with different cables to maximize the volume you can get out of them.

Chose these to replace a set of Logitech surround speakers. the sound quality is much improved and I never required the rear speakers for the way I use my PC.

As usual Bose makes great speakers. The sound is rich and the volume control is really convenient. The only problem we've had is when we use audio through the chrome browser. There is a scratchy sound. However, it's only when we use chrome. It works fine on other browsers.

This was an upgrade from an older pair of Bose speakers that I had. These have a much better quality of sound. I am very pleased with these speakers

These are a good buy for the money. The sound is full and clear, the stereo image is great and I think they're a good buy for the money.

I bought a set of these Companion 2 Series 3 Speakers a couple months back just as the Pandemic started so that I could have sound on my desktop PC for work, and to listen to music in the background. I chose these speakers based on the feedback and mostly I've read around the net, and for the most part I like them. They sound good, though a little lacking in the low end frequencies, but overall reasonably well balanced. My problem with them, and the reason for the 2 star review is because of lifespan: I wouldn't consider myself a hard user of these speakers at all. My music tastes are mostly classical and jazz, with other genres interspersed. I drive these speakers with a signal from my PC that never passes 80% of full volume, and rarely ever cranked the volume on the speakers past the half way point. Nonetheless, I noticed a week or so ago that the right speaker (the main speaker with volume control) would inexplicably start to crackle then cut out. At first I thought maybe it was the audio cable, and swapped it, or maybe even the PC, but trying the speakers in this condition woth my laptop would yield the same result. Finally yesterday, the speaker went out and wouldn't come back no matter what I tried. A call to Bose customer service has set me up with a replacement pair of speakers, supposedly brand new and not refurbished. The caveat is however that I have to send the old ones back before they'll send the new ones, which leaves me without an audio output for my work PC for the forseeable future, meaning I'm going to have to get something else in the meantime so that i can continue to participate in meetings and such. Bottom line: They sound good when they work, and Bose will replace them for up to a year if they don't, but frankly, I would have preferred something that just worked, which is why I went for these over some of the other options out there. Not too sure they're worth it.

Wow….these far exceeded my expectations being a 2.0 setup with no sub. The clarity is fantastic, and the bass is already good. For the price, and easy to setup, I highly recommend these (coming from old Klipsh THX pc speakers). These have better clarity IMO.

I am very happy with the Bose speakers as they have excellent sound. I would recommend them to anyone looking for good speakers, and the price is right.

Second set of these speakers...just great sound...even when you crank them...The first set...still next to my other desktop! Happy with all my Bose products!

I love the Bose speakers for using my laptop as a stereo -- itunes, Pandora, spotify, Who needs a boombox or stereo anymore? Wish this came with a remote control so I could tuck the laptop away when I have friends over.

Purchased these speakers a month ago and I simply love them. Has a nice stero sound when playing music. Very clear. Highly recommend.

A month later I still find myself surprised at the sound, even at low levels. I'm glad there's no power indicator light, who needs the distraction? The sound carries well all the way to other rooms.

We realized the importance of great sound when we only had the sound that came with the computer. Finally we were able to get it hooked up to work, and WOW !!!what a difference. IMPRESSIVE !!

Great Bose sound for a reasonable price. For a simple set up to replace hollow computer speakers, these are a big step up.

These work great; they do everything that I want and were easy to hookup. The sound is awesome for small speakers as Bose is known for. I have no idea how many Watts these put out and I can’t find it on the box or in the manual but they are powerful enough for my needs and they are not loud enough to break windows, glasses or anything else. The are Bose so they are pricey.

They’re easy to set up, you just plug them into your computer and an outlet and they’re ready to go. For the price the sound quality is superb.
