Tried multiple speakers and the Bose sounded the best without being bass heavy. Clear even at elevated volumes. Used with a sit/stand desk, so didn’t want to be tethered to a subwoofer on floor when adjusting height.

Love them! Super loud! Even when in a low volume setting you can hear everything clear as day!

All the quality features and sound that Bose is known for. The bass is good but not as good as a sub. Nothing to date can match a subwoofer addition.

I recently purchased this set of speaker to replace another pair of Bose speakers of which the left speaker had stop working. The sound quality is outstanding. I listen to a lot of music. while on my computer and have been very happy with the results. The volume control is took a little time to get use to but I'm pleased with it as well.

Reviewed several types of speakers, this Bose system had the crispest sound. No others were close. For an open desk these are great but in a cabinet the wiring is just not long enough. Compared and purchased these without wife's knowledge, she rarely uses the computer, she did however see them and commented how great the sound was, she was surprised. She is not a connoisseur of sound so when she commented I knew I made the right decision. There are a bit pricey but I wanted the best sound so I was willing to pay for this system. Probably would not have gone any higher however.

Since these speakers do not have a subwoofer, I was concerned that the bass response would not be all that great. The bass on these speakers is great. Overall, I am very happy with this purchase. Highly recommend these Bose speakers.

If you have the space around your desktop computer, definitely the set of speakers to purchase. The external on/off switch innovation is spot on correct. The speakers are bulky, and in a future design perhaps the size can be reduced. There is no comparison with computer built-in speakers.

I am so happy I stumbled upon this item. This is the best speaker I have ever used. The sound is amazing and it is so easy to turn up or down the volume by rotating the round circle piece and tap on top to mute. It's as simple as that. Great product.

I got these for my husband as a Christmas present. They are very powerful and he loved them.

The Bose Companion speakers are so versatile as they can be used with my laptop, tablet, desk top and even my phone. Wonderful speakers.

I love these speakers i hopped up and ran to best buy to grab the last pair in the store. Big sound from small speakers. I didn't want to do a three piece set up because of limited space and these worked out perfectly

My old speakers, which I thought had reasonably good sound, recently failed. I wanted to try better speakers so I purchased the more expensive Bose "Companion 20" speakers. The sound amplification is good. They have somewhat better bass response than my old speakers which I bought for 1/4 the price. There are no bass, mid-range or treble controls. While I'm not disappointed with my purchase, I'd probably try the less expensive model Bose speakers first.

These speakers sound great and take up little space on a desk. The only complaint I have is that they were a little pricey.

My girlfriend took me to Best Buy and bought these for a surprise gift to me. We listened to the Bose speakers and another premium setup. The full sound from the Bose system along with the sleek professional appearance sold me on them quickly. I listen to lots of music at moderate to loud volume and these speakers deliver.
