||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am somewhat of an audiophile--but I cannot afford what my ears tell me is the very best sound reproduction (classical music.) These Bose speakers are an excellent alternative, as they faithfully reproduce the music in timbre, range, dynamics, balance, and fidelity to the originally recorded (and digitally stored) music. My only concern is the somewhat "boxiness" of the sound, but that is mostly due to the small size of the speakers. Otherwise, and as it is not a crucial element--except for the uber-testosterone set--a boomy, in-your-face, deaf-generating, loud and grating bass, is not missed. These speakers are smooth and are an excellent value.
