If you spend a decent amount of time outdoors these are great. The sound can be problematic in loud places. Volume was only ever an issue in a loud restaurant. You don’t need the app except for set up.

These Bose sunglasses are really great when going to the beach or just wanting to sit outside and relax and listen to some music. I found out after buying them that you can change the lenses of the glasses which is pretty cool.

Bose really creates one of the most best sounding speakers ever. I love how crisp these sound and yet you can still semi- hear enough of the outside world without letting it bother you. Highly recommend

I returned these as I didn't feel they were good enough to justify the price. They are fun and function well as sunglasses and the speakers are adequate. But not for the price tag of $200.

These sunglasses sound great without having earplugs in that keep you oblivious to your surroundings. At my normal listening levels, people I work with don't even know I am listening to music. Great for biking, walking, working outside.

I love my music and I am always on the phone, if I am not dealing with customers. Problem was that I have tried ear pieces, and only get sound in 1 ear so quality is not that great plus it gets uncomfortable after a while of wearing it. The bud would also fall out at times because I get sweaty. I then I tried buds, but then I can't hear the customer or anything around me or would be awkward with one ear piece hanging down and they still would fall out. My wife and I saw these and my wife knew these the best birthday present. I contacted my optometrist and asked if I could have lenses made and that was that. These are awesome. They are a bit on the heavy side but then again I also keep my other pair of glasses available when I have to charge these or just want a break. So far so good, I will update in a year.

The y lol enough like normal sunglasses to not be nerdy. I WOULD RECOMMEND GETTING THE POLARIZED LENESES. They don’t not come either polarized lenses but it’s really cool that you can buy different colored lenses.

I love music and sunglasses so when I saw these I was amazed. I knew not to expect too much in such a small factor but I bought them anyway. These are great for the person who is always on the go...bike riding...hanging out with friends. I say this because along with hearing music, you can hear whats going on around you. Music is a decent loudness.. The only thing that is lost here is the baseline on anything. Very stylish set of glasses. Just dont lose the charging cable or you are going to be in a world of trouble.

OK, so after having had these for a few months I love the sound "quality" but the overall volume is not very loud at all. I was hopeful to wear these and mow the lawn but at the highest volume point I can't even hear music while cutting the grass. Also they fit large on the nose so with no rubber nose guards they will slide off your face, so if you were planning on jogging you would need a band to keep them from falling off. But if your just walking around and want to enjoy some hands free music that sounds really good in an environment that does not have a lot of background noise, these may be for you! Also the lens color is pleasing under most daylight outdoor conditions.

Love these sunglasses. Very good product. Loud enough for myself and quite makes you look cool. I just wish their battery life is much longer. 3 hours is the max you can get for continuous usage.

Good pair of sunglasses wich I actually turned into my reading glasses, love to answer my phone calls and listen to music. Battery could be better. Dies to fast

I really enjoy them for the most part the sound is terrific the only problem is when u get on public transportation or anywhere with loud background noise then u can’t hear anything at all

Very nice stylish and awesome. Prefect to hear music on a jog or at the beach to just relax and stylish. The sound quality is amazing and easy to use as far as connections and charging go.

I know that people are saying no bass but im not a bass head. if you really listen to these you will notice that the music is played flat.( no extra bass or treble) which I think is excellent. I have no problems with these glasses

These really impressed me! I wasn’t expecting them to work as well as they do. The ability to hear my surroundings while listening to music and wearing these is great! But, the sound quality (particularly lows & mids) are lacking with these, even more than usual for Bose which is why I docked these 1 star. I actually think $200 is a very fair price for these. I would have liked Bose to include an extra pair of lenses but I’m still happy with my purchase! Build quality is fantastic, as is call clarity. Battery life is pretty good too, but I think they missed an opportunity by having the included case second as a charging dock and additional battery capacity.

Great gift idea! The sound quality is much better than other brands we’ve tried. Perfect for listening to whatever you want without disturbing others and still being able to hear people talk to you.

The sound of these Bose Frames (Altos) is surprisingly good. I really enjoyed the freedom of not having to wear earbuds or headphones while listening to music outdoors. PROs • Sound is excellent. I expected a tinny sound but was surprised they sounded so good. Even in windy conditions they were clear while letting you hear the surroundings. • Passerby’s cannot really hear the sound. At most, they might hear indistinguishable noise. • Very cool feature: to turn them off, set them upside down for a couple of seconds • Lens are sharp and clear with UV protection. CONs • No volume control; only a single button on the right that switches on/off, play/pause, and answers calls. • Not available with prescription lens. • My biggest gripe is fit. They don’t fit as snug as I want because the speaker portion of the arm is too long, preventing the bridge to rest properly on my nose. And when I wear a baseball cap, it pushes the glasses even more forward. There is no way to make fit adjustments. This is by far the largest flaw. OTHER • Bose Connect app needs to be updated to version 8.1 to recognize the frames. Though you don’t need the app to pair with your phone, the app links to 3rd party apps that work with Frames as an immersive input. For example, you can interact with those apps with specific head gestures or by the direction you’re facing. Bose calls this functionality Augmented Reality. • Style: if you don’t like the look of these, Bose also has a smaller frame with round lens called Rondo. Bottomline: if you’re looking for a way to ditch your earbuds or headphones, check out the Bose Frames. But do try them on and see if either version fits.

Sent as a gift and the recipient is very happy to hear music this way. I understand the sound is terrific and setting this up was rather simple - good instructions. So glad this was a well-received gift.

Excellent alternative to ear buds when working around the yard/driving. Great connectivity and aural quality. The only downside is battery life. Ususually needs a recharge after 4 hours of continuous use(listening to music)
