For these to be Bose, the sound quality was bad, the sound leaks out where other people around could here what you are listening too. The price of these Bluetooth frames are to high.

These are cool! These shades are visually indistinguishable from regular sunglasses so no one will ever know that those stylish glasses you’ve got on actually double as headphones. I have the Rondo frames and absolutely love the shape of them on my face. They are super flattering! While the arms of the shades are slightly bulky, the sunglasses are comfortable to wear. I wore them for 3 hours today, and I didn’t even feel them. I especially enjoyed the feeling of freedom from not having anything in my ears. Even though they sound loud to you when you wear them, people around you can't hear what you’re listening to since they leak very little sound. Speaking of which, they have amazing sound considering the delivery method. I’d say the sound is about similar quality to my Apple AirPods. The battery life is great as well. The glasses are rated for up to 3.5 hours of playback according to Bose. Also, they can charge from empty to full in less than 2 hours. I love the ability to use these shades with whatever platform you’d like. They worked well with my iPhone. I listened to music, answered calls, and even used Siri with flawless integration. Bose offers an application named The Connect app. Personally there was nothing earth shattering contained within. All in all, the Bose Rondo are a staple in my life as a commuter in Miami. Well done Bose. Highly recommended.

The Bose frames are not working after an year due to Hardware issues and Bose has no solution to fix or replace the frames. The Frames charge or play sounds only when the legs are closed and when you open it wear the electronics don't work. I would suggest NOT buying until Bose fixes this issue in their existing and newer models.

These are my favorite new gadget! The Bose Rondo sunglasses have the amazing sound quality you expect from Bose and the preciseness of great tech. Taking calls on these is easy, sound is great. People on the other end could hear me just fine. I love wearing these while I'm out taking a walk. I can listen to music or podcasts and take calls all while not having something shoved in my ear. Battery life has been good so far, after completely charging I have used them for 3 hours, making calls, listening to music, and podcasts and the battery is down to 60%. I'm so impressed by these, can't wait to see what else they can make them do. Highly recommend these, they are so fun!

The glasses fit pretty well, are light weight, comfortable, and certainly give good coverage from the sun; of course you don't get these for the glasses... The Bose speakers built into the frame are the real deal. I was somewhat skeptical concerning the sound quality, but it was exceptional. If you are used to noise cancelling headphones/earbuds, these will take a bit of getting used to. I found the phone-app to be quite handy and easy to use, but actually was able to hook up to the glasses via bluetooth without the app, straight out of the box. Very well worth it - you can have your tunes without looking like you are tuning out.

Received the glasses and waited for the latest app update. Easy installation of the app and syncing the Bluetooth with my phone. Very impressed with the sound quality in something so small and light. Sound quality while taking a phone call is also great. No difference between using the actual phone and using the microphone on the sunglasses. The only nitpick is it would have been nice to have more than two styles.

These glasses are a very cool concept, you have sunglasses & can listen to music, take calls, ask Siri a question all while still able to hear what’s going on around you. The frames are lightweight & I was afraid they’d be bulky & large but they’re not. The sound is great in typical Bose style. The speakers are on the arms of the frames so you can hear great but others can still hear sound while you’re wearing them so they’re not confined to just your ears. Through the power button you can skip songs & they power off by just turning them over. When they are powered on a voice tells you how much battery power remains, charging is usb & charges quickly & lasts a long time. I found the sunglasses lenses to have a natural look, nit too dark, but still protective. There is an app which you can download for AR features, I did not do this since I have no interest in that feature. You can also control the glasses through the app. I already had the app & connection was seamless, the frames were recognized immediately. They come in a nice hard plastic case with a drawstring bag for the usb cable. Connection is great if you have your device with you but I wore them while washing my car & had constant cutting in & out. Connection distance had a lot of breaking up too but it depends on the area, I lost connection walking a short distance in the house but kept connection with iPod on porch & me in detached garage about 30 ft away. Compatible with iPod, iPhone & iPad. Even with the connection loss, these frames deserve no less than five stars!

The sound from these glasses are impressive. Quality is impressive as well. Bass could be better but the sound is 3 dimensional. The on//off button could be located in a better spot. Overall these glasses are an interesting technology and definitely would highly recommend them

Stick with what you're good at Bose...

Bose have some amazing products in their portfolio. They know sound. They know style, and they usually know quality. First off, the Bose Rondo Frames - the sound, surprisingly good. A lot better than I was expecting! There is great clarity and definition in the sound, considering that there is nothing in your ear canal to boost bass or enclose the sound to your ear. It's basically playing out in the open to your ears. There isn't masses of bass, but the sound is crisp and full. They did exceed my expectations as far as sound goes from something that you wear in front of your ears, and not totally inside your ears. Take them off, and you can barely hear the sound at all. There's none of that sound bleed that you can get from traditional cheap headphones that the person in the seat next to you on a plane or bus might share with you! The technology to minimize that is fantastic. As I say, Bose know sound, and they know it well. AR - Augmented Reality (Audio) - these sunglasses do not have any pictures, screens, or moving images at all, it is augmented sound. Downloading the Bose Radar App, I was able to test out the Bose AR feature. A sound scene of a beach has you rotating your head to hear the different elements of sound in the scene. The sea is in front of you, turn your head and it moves to the left and right of you. Turn 180 degrees and the sound moves around, quietens and you hear children playing in front of you. Very nice feature again from Bose, playing with the sound and spatial awareness with motion sensors in the sunglasses. Now as sunglasses, these are the Rondo style. Slightly smaller and obviously rounder than the larger and more 'wayfarer' style Alto version. As soon as I put them on, my wife turned to me and said 'I hope you aren't going to wear them out in public'. That didn't bode well. Putting them on, first thing I noticed was how cheap feeling they are. Really, really cheap. They have hard, sharp edged molding lines right where they rest on your nose. No padding, no soft touch material, nothing. Hard, sharp plastic. I could only wear them for 10 mins before they irritated the heck out of my nose. It's the same over your ears, hard, sharp, cheap plastic. Really uncomfortable. And then there's the lenses. They may be scratch resistant, but the are barely tinted at all, and seem to be made out of a smudge attracting material. Really struggled to keep them clean. I just couldn't get over how incredibly cheap the sunglasses look and feel. They are not dissimilar to the 'free' 3D movie theater glasses you get. Was really disappointed in them, and I simply won't be able to use them from this standpoint. So, in summary, there is some great tech in here, the sound is great, better than expected from a product like this. Clear, crisp with a nice blanket of sound around your head. But as sunglasses, they are a huge fail. Really uncomfortable and not particularly stylish to boot.

I got these because I have a hard time finding ear buds that fit and stay in my ear comfortably and I don't like over the ear headphones either. I love the sound quality and the fact that others around you can't hear what you're listening to (no more than other in/over ear headphones). The app is easy to use and allows you to make the most of your new shades. My only with, is that they came in a wider range of styles. I ended up settling for ones that looked/felt okay, but wish there was more to choose from and might have been able to find ones that fit my face better. If you like the styles available and the fit you well, I highly recommend these for you. Otherwise, wait and see if they come out with more styles options.

    Good But Not Great

These are fun to use. They are very lightweight. Hard to believe there are speakers in them although they are quite small. Set up is very easy with the app. They synchronized with my Android device with no issues at all. Sound is what you have come to expect from BOSE sharp and clear. Keep in mind there are glasses so don't expect a theater experience. Volume at a mid level is hard to hear for others around you which is good, so you are not drawing attention to yourself. It's also nice since nothing in your ear, you still know what is going on around you. These are good for people who enjoy walking. A little added safety feature. I say good only because on a sunglasses level they are ok. They are almost too light and it gives a slight "toy" feel to them. Price point may be a bit high but again BOSE is usually worth the added expense.

I was excited to receive these new Bose Frames after hearing about what they were bringing to the table ... but honestly. these were a huge let down. What I liked: The sound-field produced is unlike anything else I've experienced before and useful in that you are still part of your surroundings. That's quite a different feeling vs. something like traditional headphones or earbuds. And the voice prompting is natural and non-robotic. But that's about it ... What I disliked: The app is a bit skimpy and offers no real utilitarian value in use. I was able to connect these to my mobile phone without it. As awesome as this new-type of listening arrangement is, the battery life is dismally poor. There's one button on the Frames and no obvious way to turn these things off. And here's the biggest complaint I have about the Bose Frames - no matter the music player app employed and what you try to do to enhance the sound-field with an EQ - the Frames go from sounding rather 'full' fidelity at about 50% volume to a very poor tin-can character at anywhere around 55-60% of max volume & above. In basic terms, the mid and high frequencies go all gonzo in your face and the bass content attenuates (disappears) into oblivion. Not what I expected from a company with the long standing tradition of excellence that Bose has enjoyed. The only recognizable 'marker' that these are really a Bose product ... is the outrageously high price. I absolutely can not recommend the Bose Frames.

I have loved these glasses, but unfortunately have already had to replace them under manufacturer's warranty once and the replacement pair isn't covered. They tend to short out at the fold and this is my second pair to have the same problem. I now have a really expensive pair of bulky sunglasses.
