Simply a Bluetooth headset
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up returning these because they were not what I expected from Bose. They were simply Bluetooth sunglasses. everyone else could hear the music; It wasn't loud enough. I thought they would have the bone conductivity feature for the price

Nice idea but doesn’t really work
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Nice try into a new market but not successful. Very low audio and awkward carry case not really portable. Also many new entrants into this market with innovative solutions. Also very expensive.

Not yoo bad
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These glasses are great to wear in the sun, however once you go indoors you cant see. Also the temple arms are too short therrfore the speaker is not close to your ear. so sometime its hard to hear unless you cover your ear. Overall a good concept.

It’s amazing what they can pack into sunglasses!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These things sound great! I’ve always astonished at how clear Bose can make things sound in the smallest packages ever. Overall, I’m impressed at these! While it would be even more convenient to wear them all day, even indoors, what these accomplish simply make life a little more pleasant. Headphones are not always the safest thing to wear, especially when you need to be aware of your surroundings. These sunglasses accomplish toning down the sun, while allowing you to hold a phone conversation hands free, listen to music or a podcast, all while enjoying being outside and hearing what’s going on in your surroundings without everyone else being able to hear what’s going on. This is the perfect mix between headphones, “speakerphone”, and almost bone conduction technology. At modest volumes, the headphones sound super clear and surprisingly have a little bass to them as well. I’m not used to hearing that out of such a small device. At max volume, the audio can get slightly distorted. The touch controls are pretty intuitive, but I did struggle getting the double tap voice assistance activation to work flawlessly. The biggest issue was not hearing an acknowledgment “beep” when it waiting to listen for a voice command, particularly when music was not playing. This is not really a flaw however, as this can be addressed in an update. The Bose companion app makes paring, updating, configuring, and playing music extremely easy. I was able to use these all day long without issue, and when I needed more juice, a quick 30 minute charge gave me another 2.5 hours of life! If you’re looking for a pair of great looking sunglasses that can also take a phone call, play music, and have outstanding Bose clarity, look no further! You won’t be disappointed!

Sound is great, frames very large
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These Bose - Frames Soprano have a great sound. Connecting to my phone was quick and easy. The sound quality is great. The only reason for taking away a star is that the frames are very large but leave quite a bit of space open at the sides. The app walked me through set up in a few easy steps, even giving pre-assigned options for naming my sunglasses to find them easily for connection. A voice gives battery status when turned on so no guessing if you have them charged enough to use for a while. I have yet to need to charge them. The sound coming through is loud and clear. Sounds wonderful. Phone calls are also loud and clear, no issues on either end with hearing each other. Have had no problem with sound, static, dropping, etc.. Finding the button takes a little feeling around until you've used them enough to remember where it's located, not unlike any other BT headset/earbuds. It's amazing how it can be loud enough to surround your head, yet people standing near you are not hearing what is coming through if more than a couple of feet away and even then not clearly. I would recommend these sunglasses with the caveat that you check the size of the frames works well for you.

UNBELIEVABLE!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Bose has outdone itself again. The Soprano glasses are a comfortable fit, and easy to wear for an extended period of time. It's an attractive style for women, but men should consider the alto, tenor, or sport models. The sound is crisp and clear while listening to music, podcasts, or phone calls. An added plus is that since these are over your ear instead of in your ear, you can still hear what's going on around you for added safety while walking/running/biking alone. When worn outdoors people as close as a couple feet away had no idea I was even listening to music! They charge quickly and have a long battery life. To switch from music to Siri, double-tap the right ear piece. Volume is also controlled on the right ear piece - simply slide your finger! Need to answer a phone call - just press the power button to talk hands-free. Everyone who has seen them is in awe and wants a pair of their very own. These are the coolest things I've ever seen - I feel like James Bond!

Good sound, not one size fits all
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ve really been looking forward to the expansion of the wearable market, so I was excited to have an opportunity to try out Bose Frames. The glasses sizing is “one size fits all”, and apparently I don’t fall into that “all” category as they just don’t comfortably fit my face. While this limited my use in public testing as they start to fall off from being too small (think the effect of wearing a pair of kids glasses), I was at least able to wear them in the house enough to test the audio quality. I’ve previously purchased frames from another major brand, and the audio quality of the Bose frames is vastly superior. The downside of open speaker vs bone conduction audio is that the sound isn’t private, so it’s not practical when you’re around other people, unless you keep the volume low. I could see wearing them lounging on a beach or on a bike ride though and being very happy with the performance. They charge with a magnetic connecting power cord that plugs into USB. Bose assumes you have a wall USB charger to connect the cable to as none is provided. The sunglasses go into Sleep mode of some kind when you take them off, which saves battery but can be minor my inconvenient if you intended to remove them temporarily. I’d like an option to let them remain on for 30 seconds so I didn’t have to reconnect and ensure my phone found them again, but it’s definitely not a dealbreaker, and better than wasting power by turning them off manually. If you don’t have a large head like me, I’d recommend giving these a shot. I’ll be giving them another shot in the future if they offer additional size options. In addition to size options, I’d love to see more style choices beyond the Soprano and Alto options available. I like the look of the Soprano over the Alto, but they aren’t quite a style I’d be thrilled to wear in public. I’m a tech nut though so I’d be willing to get over the style issue if they had a frame that fit me.
