These work great as normal sunglasses. It seems like you can also replace the lenses, but I have not personally tried it. The speakers are good enough for strolls around the park or wherever else, but it's not as good as quality earphones or headphones. Overall, they're a nice change of pace so you wouldn't need extra stuff when running or something. Just the sunglasses and your phone.

Im still scratching my head at what the point of this device is for Bose. The concept seems ok, integrate speakers into the arms of sunglasses so you can try and knock out two devices with one shot, however it basically fails on both fronts and I wonder what the point of these are? The sunglasses frames themselves look like a large metal knockoff of Risky Business Tom Cruise Ray Bans, black, thick and oversized, except wait, the arms bulge out and there is a tiny speaker lodged inside the arms on each side you sync with the Bose app on your phone to play your favorite music. The problem is, the big question, why? I have ear phones, headphone that are wireless, I can stick those in when I am wearing my sunglasses. Having speakers built into not very stylish shades is defeating the purpose. Plus the fact, Bose products have declined over the years and the sound is just not there anymore which is sad from a previous leader in this space. I would have a hard time recommending this device to anyone.

      Hello!

The Frames are designed to free you from headphones so you can hear and interact with the world around you, all while discreetly listening to music or taking calls! They do this by using our Bose Open Ear Audio™ technology to direct sound at you and away from everyone else. An exclusive, wafer-thin acoustic package hidden in the temples produces lifelike sound that’s full and deep, while an innovative design drastically reduces the spread of sound beyond you.

The style of the Soprano Frames is based on the cat-eye design, elegantly updating it to provide a dash of retro glamor. Crafted from ultramodern materials to both look and feel luxurious, they flaunt polarized lenses, and stainless steel hinges in a high-gloss black frame.

It all comes together for a jaw-dropping experience that only you’re aware of.
