Listen to music without getting lost

I love listening to music. While my commute is different in this Post-COVID era, one thing that always made me uneasy was how easy it was to become unaware of your surroundings while rocking out to your favorite playlist. Walking around a large city there are so many sounds that can easily be missed, especially with noise cancelling headphones. Bose has addressed that concern with the Frames line. There aren't any earbuds in your ears, the speakers are embedded in the arms of the glasses. This allows you to listen to your music, but still hear car horns, voices and sirens. While this isn't ideal for some, it can be extremely beneficial and is much safer. I wanted these to use while riding my bike and motorcycle. While I don't listen to music while on my motorcycle, I use GPS to get directions if I'm headed to a new place. These worked really well on the bicycle, because the volume can stay pretty consistent. On the motorcycle, the volume can change quite a bit between in town riding and highway riding and the position of the control button isn't accessible while wearing a helmet. Sound quality was very good. It isn't as good as over ear headphones, but very comparable to earbuds. In some ways I liked them better because I felt like I was listening to speakers vs listening to headphones. The clarity of the lenses was really nice. I'm not sure where Bose sourced the lenses, but I was pleasantly surprised with how clear they were. I would recommend trying them on before you purchase them. I have a sizable head and they're a bit snug for me. The frame of the glasses fit my face, but the temples are tight because of the speakers. Maybe a different style would have been better for me.

The Bose Audio Glasses honestly do not serve many purposes but for me they solve a very specific problem that I had tried to figure out for a long time until I was able to get these. I had the first version of these that Bose put out and they worked pretty well but I had some issues with them. They were not very comfortable, I did not like the design a great deal and they had no control for volume which was a bummer. So when I got the new Bose glasses I was very Happy to see the new design that solved two things it fit better on me and looked much better. I was also extremely happy when I saw it had touch controls on the right side of the glasses. I use these glasses when I am driving my family around and on trips, they are extremely helpful on long road trips as I can listen to podcast or directions and still be able to hear my wife and kids if they need anything. I tried before with other earbuds and headphones and the problem was I could not hear anything outside of them and these solve that problem. The sound quality on these is really good. does it have a lot of bass, no it does not but when you think about what the glasses are offering you understand why the bass response is not very deep. But they do offer a good amount of clarity and volume. If you need something to be able to hear music, podcast, directions or even phone calls but still be able to hear your surroundings then I highly recommend these glasses

Hey Sann! On a full charge, the Alto frames provide a battery life of 5 and a half hours and a single charge takes 1 hour. If this isn't long enough for your bike rides, our other frames, the Tempos are designed for sport activities and have a battery life of 8 hours which makes them even better for bike rides!

I was skeptical about these when I opened the box. The frames are decent looking and a good unisex style with inky a bit of bulk on the sides at the temple. I was doubtful that sound quality would be good from sunglasses but I was pleasantly surprised. The sound is so crisp and clear through these. I tested out podcasts and music while outside on a windy day running around with my child. I could hear my child clearly as well as enjoy some music. Phone calls are perfect on this as well, I made several test calls and no one could tell I wasn't using my phone. Battery life is decently long and charging is super easy. I appreciate the quality case these came in as well so I can safely put them in my purse without worrying about damage. People I was sitting next to don't seem to hear the music either so it's nice to not bother others while listening to music. I'd highly recommend these to anyone who loves being outdoors but still wants to be involved in things going on around them.

    Great Sunglasses

I wanted these sunglasses for riding bike so that I could also hear my surroundings while listening to podcasts or music and they work perfectly for that. The sound is great as we have come to expect from Bose. Add on top of that they are excellent sunglasses that block UV light and are very comfortable. I went on a 25 mile bike ride and was comfortable with them on the whole ride as they fit by my big ears with no discomfort. The battery life is as advertised as well. After that 1.5 hr ride the glasses told me I have 70% battery left when I turned them back on. There is only one button on the glasses which I think is fine. It turns them on and off but also pauses with one click and moves to the next song with a double click. The one minor complaint I have is the charger is specific to the glasses with a six pin magnet rather than universal USB-C, for example. So if you lose the charger or it goes bad, I assume you will need to go to Bose to get a replacement. Overall, very well made and works perfect for being outdoors in the sun and gives you an alternative to earbuds.

People can hear your music on your standing near them so that's not good. You can't hear your music when you go inside and lift up your sunglasses on top of your head so that's no good. Other than that I like the idea

      Hello,
Thanks for your feedback. Did you know you can adjust the Motion Detection setting, and the Flip-to-off settings in the Bose Music app? With your Frames selected in the app, tap the Settings icon in the top-right corner. Under Control, tap Power . You can turn on or off the following settings:
      - Motion Control: Your Frames power off if you haven't moved them for 10 minutes
      - Flip-to-off: You can flip the Frames upside down for 2 seconds to power off

This product is over priced garbage. I've had my frames for almost 2 years and I've spent almost the entirety of those 2 years with a product that does not stay connected to the Bluetooth on my phone. Best buy replaced my original pair thinking it would solve my issue. It did not. Then I thought maybe my phone is just old and the Bluetooth is going out. Nope thats not it. Brand new moto 5g stylus and it still has the same exact issue on my second pair. Best buy has no idea why and Bose is about as useful as talking to a wall.

      Hello,

I'm sorry to hear you've experienced issues connecting your Frames to your smartphone. This certainly shouldn't be a problem. If it regularly disconnects, it'd be a good idea to establish a new connection as corrupted pairings can cause problems. In addition, it is good practice to keep the product firmware on both the frames and your smartphone up to date.

For more info on updating the firmware of your Bose Frames, please visit http://btu.bose.com.
