Very heavy on nose.
||Posted . Owned for 2 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They’re ok for short amount of time. They are heavy on the nose. I do like them when walking dog so I can still here what’s going on around me. I’ll keep them but I wouldn’t buy them as a gift for anyone. Expected better from Bose.

Might be cool in a few more generations.
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. They look alright.. They sound ok. No bass, not all that loud. And anything beyond half volume is obvious to anyone around you what you are listening to. Mower noise overpowers them. Only real use case I can find is riding the bike.

Bose Sunglasses, a whole new way to enjoy music!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll admit, in the past, I’ve walked by the display at Best Buy for Bose sunglasses. I didn’t really think much of them; I didn’t even try them on. Why do you need sunglasses with speakers built in when you can use Bluetooth ear phones?! Let me tell you, when I received these to test out, I was in for a big surprise! Unboxing: There isn’t much in the box, just the glasses, a hard case to carry them in, a microfiber cloth and a proprietary charging cable, don’t lose this cable. It connects to the arm of the sunglasses magnetically. There is ½” think booklet containing “safety instruction” in every conceivable language and a book with 2 pages that shows you how to power up your glasses and connect to the app, also in 50 languages. That’s it, there’s no quick reference guide on how to use the glasses. You have to look in the app for help. Setup: Setup is quite easy, using the Bose app, turn on the glasses, search for your phone. Select and pair, it’s pretty simple. There’s 1 “smart” button on the glasses that pretty much does everything, hold it down to turn on or off. When listening to music, tap the button twice and you can skip to the next song, tap it once when you have a call coming in and it’ll pick up. What I wasn’t able to figure out was how to disconnect it from my son’s phone and connect it to mine. I tried holding down the button to pair my phone, it didn’t work. I finally had to have him “forget” it from his Bluetooth devices. Sunglasses: These sunglasses (Tenor) say “one size”, I found them to be a bit snug, I don’t think my head is that large. The styling is probably where these sunglasses fall a bit short. My kids said it looks like I walked out of a theater with 3D glasses. The other feedback I received is that the look like a blind person’s glasses. The arms are thick and wide (to accommodate the speakers) which makes these glasses not so stylish. I used these on a recent trip to the beach, I was able to see very clearly with these. The polarized lenses are very sharp and filters out glare nicely. In fact, I found these lenses to be as good as my Maui Jim’s, my favorite sunglasses. Another observation is that the thick arms also causes the side of my head, where the arms sit, to be sweatier. I guess that expected, I just noticed that because on my normal sunglasses, the arms are very thin. Sound quality: I was blown away by the sound quality that came out of these sunglasses! For the size, and the fact that they’re built into sunglasses, they sound very good! Equally surprising is that these are not loud to anyone except you! Sure if the music is on loud and someone is next to you, they’ll hear some sound. Similar if someone was next to you with earbuds, you hear some sound, but it’s not very audible. Phone conversations were excellent. The mic built into the right arm of the glasses was able to pick up my voice clearly. People I was speaking to on the phone didn’t know I wasn’t using the phone. I got used to these pretty quickly. After a few conversations, I forgot I was using sunglasses and I would come into the house and take them off, cutting off my conversation! Uses: I can think of many instances where I would use these glasses instead of ear buds. It’s perfect for certain sports where you need to hear your surroundings such as bicycling and skiing, but want to listen to your favorite music. Sliding your finger on the right arm forward and backwards controls the volume. So if you’re biking, these is very convenient. Even if you’re just walking around town, these are great so you’re aware of your surroundings. Conclusion: Bose has done it again! In the short time that I’ve had these, I found that the more I used them, the more I liked them. I would walk in from outside wanting to keep them on but obviously it’s difficult to see. I showed these to my siblings and they were also impressed by the sound quality. I would highly recommend these glasses to anyone looking for a comfortable and unobtrusive way to listen to music. My recommendation would be to try them on in person, if possible.

Where's the bass?
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm one of the biggest Bose fans you can find. I love their products for the most part. This one was a slight disappointment. Here's my pros and cons on the Tenor frames. Pros: -The glasses have a classic look. They have a gloss feel to them and a little weight. -They come with polarized lenses that seem to be good quality and are replaceable with other lenses if you want. -The connection to a mobile device is easy to do, like most bose products. -The sound is immersive and what you would expect from a quality brand like Bose. You can hear things in your surrounding and also listen to something on your phone or carry on a conversation at the same time with these. -When you take the glasses off of your nose and place them on your head, you can still hear the sounds coming from them. Slightly less so but you can still hear it. Unfortunately that's where the pro's end: Cons: -The sound is immersive, however none of that sound includes bass. Any attempt to increase the sound of your bass on the Tenor frames and you will hear slight distortion where there should be bass. This is my biggest gripe with the glasses. I know it's probably really hard to increase the sound of the bass when the tiny speakers are so far from the ear, but any bass would be nice. -The glasses are one size fits all with seemingly no way to adjust them. Try them on before you buy. I'm an average sized person and I wear a 7 3/8 fitted hat. These glasses are tight on me around the temple/ear area and when worn for a longer period of time, they become uncomfortable. -To charge these you have to use a proprietary charging cord that magnetically attaches to the inside of the frame. Would have been nice to just have a USB-C port or a wireless charge but I understand just like the speakers, we're dealing with very little space for add ons. -People around you can hear what you're listening to, or your conversation. When I first got these I thought "Wow, these would be cool to change the lenses in and covertly listen to podcasts and music without anyone knowing." Well unless you have the volume at an extremely low setting, others close to you will hear it. So there you have it. Do you enjoy strolls around town or your neighborhood while listening to classical music, podcasts or audiobooks? These might be right up your alley. On the other hand, do you want to listen to anything that has a slight bit of bass and you are interested in hearing that bass? Pass on these and go with some Bose in ear earbuds and mix in a pair of sunglasses.

It's great to hear how much you've been enjoying the style of your Frames, as well as the immersive sound and easy connections!
The Frames are refined to match a wide range of face shapes. The dimensions of them are 55 mm x 18 mm x 136 mm (Lens width – Distance between lenses – Temple length) Some fo the other styles of frames come are sized differently as well, so it's worth taking this into account when looking at the best fit for you!
You will be able to listen to your music and podcasts discretely, without others around you hearing as well! The Frames us our Bose Open Ear Audio™ design and have speakers precisely positioned to direct sound at you and away from everyone else, while an innovative design drastically reduces the spread of sound beyond you.

Cool - but why the software?
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great concept. I just found that I didnt wear sun glasses as much as I thought I would. If your ourdoors a lot these would be great for you. For me, I just stuck to my earbuds. I didnt like the fact it requires you to install BOSE software.

Posted .Hey, glad to hear you're impressed with this product.
Just so you know, you can connect and use the Frames without the Bose Connect app. Simply connect through your traditional Bluetooth settings on your device.

The glasses are Ok but not spectatular!!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The glasses are nice but they are not loud enough. The speaker is in the rear where the arms of the glasses meet the ear but some peoples head are shorter and larger than others so they need a regular and a large size to make it better.

Bose… You’re better than this
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Well the sound quality is good if it was not. It also seemed to break very easily. This was the second pair I bought the second pair that I had to return. Won’t be getting a third pair

Frames Tenor great as sunglasses
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Looks great in my hubby's face. He got a lot of compliments. He wanted to have corrective lenses made by Lens Crafters, which refused to do it. Anyway, he plans to use the lenses offered by Bose.

Great, but a few problems
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great pair of audio glasses but... There is a lot of audio bleed beyond 25% volume. It’s very noticeable in a quiet environment but if you used these outdoors you will be fine. Be very careful removing the lenses as the frames will have the potential to cracker if done so incorrectly.

Awesome!

Extremely well received gift!
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These were given as a gift. The recipient hasn’t stopped raving about them, and his wife is now shopping for a set in a prescription lens-which are also available from Bose on their website, I understand. I’ve about decided I need a set for myself!

I love them! Will probably buy a second pair...
||Posted . Owned for 10 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are super cool. I want another pair that are not sunglasses, so I don't feel silly wearing them indoors. Not the loudest, but certainly loud enough. I recommend them, great buy!

Cool glasses, good sound!
|Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Okay so these are my first pair of audio sunglasses and I must say the wow factor kicked in as soon as I put them on. First you need to understand that these glasses are very good for a lot of things but like everything there are some things that you need to be aware of when purchasing. First and foremost, they are sunglasses, and I must say that they do an excellent job at protecting your eyes even in the most demanding situations. I wore these at work in various environments which included super sunny to cloudy overcast and one thing I noticed was that when your wearing them, even though from the front they look very dark, when your wearing them they are not that dark to look through. Which means you can technically wear them in various lighting conditions. The Audio: When I first put them on and listened to the first song I immediately thought to myself WOW! They sounded great in all aspects besides one major area. BASS These have absolutely no bass or low end to them so I would say they are great for podcasts, audiobooks, classical or melody based music but once you put on something that has a lot of bass, you quickly realize that these just don’t deliver on that front. Now that’s not to say that they are bad in anyway. But if your someone who listens to a lot of EDM or other kinds of bass heavy music you will find these glasses a disappointment in that area. Call Quality: Using these glasses over the last week I have come to enjoy the phone call quality. There’s just something magical of receiving a phone call with these glasses and talking hands free. The quality is great and never once had any distortion or connection issues. People I have talked to said I sound loud and clear and with no background noise.m, so they do a great job in that department. The App: The app was super easy to use and very fast when First setting up the glasses. Your greeted with step by step guidance to get you up and running very quickly and it also has a built in tips section that can teach you how to use your new glasses as well as how to change out the lens for a different pair. Great job Bose!! Connection: From first setting up to every time I pushed the power button they always connected instantly and while using to listen to music or phone calls I never once had a connection issue or sound quality degradation. They maintained perfectly and so I have to give them another check mark for this. The Battery Life: Now I never owned the first generation of Bose audio glasses but I did hear from multiple sources that battery life was not very good and after testing out the new Bose Tenor glasses they never once died on me and I have been using them steadily at about 50-70% volume every day for over a week. So while I can not confirm or deny the first gen problems, these new glasses seem to have definitely addressed everyone’s concerns. Usability: These have been super easy to use. From the one click power on to the double click on the right side arm to activate Siri and even sliding your finger along the arm to control volume. Everything is very easy and just works. It’s really amazing how much tech they put into these glasses. Comfortability: So these are very comfortable to wear, I have used them all day everyday and never once did I think, these are heavy or not comfortable. I forgot I was wearing audio glasses. With that being said they are heavier than regular sunglasses but I didn’t really notice or even gave it a second thought. Charging times seemed very fast maybe an hour and using them honestly has been a joy. The only con is the extreme lack of bass. If you can get over that then I think you might actually love them and find many uses in where they can shine in your day to day.
