Doesn't connect automatically to previously paired devices. Sound is excellent, as it should be with Bose.

Just turn on the Bose Home Speaker 300 and the intro tone lets you know you're going to be getting some serious sound from this little assistant. I couldn't wait to get it set up so I could hear more. The Bose Home Speaker 300 supports Alexa and Google Assistant, but not simultaneously. You have to pick one or the other, but swapping between the two isn't tough to do. I wish it could do them both together because I like Google for information/entertainment and Alexa for smart home controls. Google always telling me what its going to do after I tell it what to do is annoying. Alexa gives just a ding if you select that setting. So I have both in rooms where I use the Assistants. The microphone on the Home Speaker 300 seems to not be as sensitive as my $30 Alexa assistant, but seems no of the 10 or so I've tried have ever been, which is why I keep that cheap unit. I have to talk louder and repeat myself more times than I'd like. I wish there was a way in increase the mic gain. But Bose makes up for that in the sound department. And, boy does this put out some sound! After registering the product and getting it set up with Google I played a few songs - Golden Age Hip Hop for me. The amount of bass the Home Speaker 300 puts out was completely unexpected. I had my Samsung Galaxy Watch charging on the table I was setting up the Bose speaker and it was vibrating the table enough to keep knocking my watch from charging to not charging. Mids and highs were clear and balanced and the powerful bass is just icing on the cake. You really have to hear this in person to appreciate the powerful sound the little unit pumps. Bose did an incredible job! The Bose Music app is relatively basic and I don't use it for much after set up. It has access to some of the music services, but I supposed the API's are dumbed down since it can't play radios from playlists. So I always end up going to the apps themselves and cast or use the Bose as a bluetooth speaker - yes, you can use it as a stand-alone speaker if you have no wish to add the smart capabilities. Even without the assistants this is worth getting. So far the Bose Home Speaker 300 is a near perfect experience. The only thing I would like to see is being able to use Google and Alexa at the same time. Even if it doesn't happen it's still a powerful room filling speaker that's well worth getting.

Was super excited to bump this baby while traveling but it needs to be plugged in at all times unfortunately.

This speaker is amazing! The base is deep and it’s clear crisp sound fills the room like a full stereo system. Setting it up is easy. Just download the Bose app and it walks you through the setup. Just connect to your wifi, name the device and after a short setup, it’s ready to go. From the app you select which voice assistant you want to use (either Alexa or Google Home). It asks you for your voice assistant password and then shows up as a device in the voice assistant’s native app. From there you can connect to your favorite music service. I use Amazon Music. You have a choice of seven all together. In the Bose app you can set up six preset stations that you can access through the app or on the buttons on the face of the device. I wish the preset buttons would light up to make it easier to see them in low lighting. Also, the buttons do not provide any sort of tactile feedback, so I found myself pressing them more than once. Maybe next updated device will add this. Fortunately, I do not use the buttons on a voice activated speaker. I use the voice assistant for everything. It has the traditional connections you would find on a voice assistant speaker: Bluetooth for streaming from your phone and an Aux port. It handled voice controls without an issue even when I had the music up loud. In typical Bose tradition, they seem do defy physics with how loud, clear and powerful their small speakers are and this one is no exception. I have several voice assistant devices around my house and I am seriously considering replacing them one by one with these. If you really want great sound without taking up a lot of space, you can’t wrong with this speaker. It does cost quite a bit more that other voice activated speakers, but you get what you pay for.

Sounds great, as Bose always does. However, it did NOT integrate with existing Google Home devices.

Not as much sound as I expected. Returned it but was very happy with the sound bar I got. In fact, it was enough and I didn't end up needing this speaker. I would have kept it for the extra base if it was loud but the portable Bose Sound Link I have produces more sound than this and its half the size.

This is a smaller size plugin model. But don’t worry it still has the name Bose on it and lives up to what you expect in every aspect.

7 For this being in open item product I really loved him there was No scratches all the chords in paperwork was there and he was wrapped very nice

Very pleased as i got this as an open box and everything is cool and works fine. I can even link it with my 700 soundbar.

I own a lot of Bose products. This speaker didn’t quite have the Bose sound and quality I expected. It may be fine for a small area though

Nice looking speaker, very up to date. Only downfall is it has to be plugged into outlet.

This product always needs to be plugged in to play. I HATE IT!! Not very happy about this product.

I am really enjoying my home Alexa speaker I am using it at my house and my whole family is really enjoying it especially my five kids

Got this for christmas and love this speaker. I had the old model but my grandma bought me the newer one.
