Customers commend the Home Speaker 300 for its exceptional sound quality, ease of use, and impressive bass response. Many also appreciate its convenient size and the seamless integration with both Alexa and Google Assistant. While some users wish for a battery, the positive feedback on sound and functionality outweighs this concern. The speaker's straightforward setup and attractive design are also frequently praised.

      Hey there,
I'm sorry to hear of the issues your having with the sound and the connection to your iPhone. Have you tried clearing the pairing list? You can do this by pressing and holding the Bluetooth Bluetooth button for 10 seconds. I would also recommend that you delete the pairing on your iPhone before reconnecting.

Purchased this speaker because it was compatible with AirPlay2. My Macbook is AirPlay2 compatible, but the speaker does not connect using AirPlay, only bluetooth. Have reached out to both Apple and Bose and both just point fingers at each other for blame.

Hello, I'm sorry to hear you've had issues with connecting to your MacBook via Airplay 2. This should be possible. I would recommend checking the speaker with other devices to see if the problem exists with other devices or just the Mac. I would also recommend checking that both the Mac and the speaker's firmware are fully up to date.

    Excellent Sounding Smart Speaker

As far as smart speakers go this Bose Home Speaker 300 is hands down the best sounding I've ever used or heard. First the sound. It's a Bose speaker so you know you're going to get some outstanding sound quality from this speaker. Don't let the small size full you. Even though it's a single speaker design Bose worked their magic with this thing. Sound literally seems to fill the room. It's got great base without being overwhelming and the lows and mids come through clearly. And this thing can get VERY loud with no distortion. Whether you're using it via Bluetooth, aux cable, or via a service such as Pandora the sound quality is outstanding. You can use the smart speaker functions with either Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. You'll need a smartphone with the Bose app installed to configure the assistant of your choice. Even though I'm an iPhone user I'm deeply tied to the Google ecosystem of services and I can report that it works great. There are a couple of things not up and running yet but promised update will bring things like podcasts, audio books, and the like soon. The built in mics have no problem listening in even with rather loud music playing and if so inclined or have more than one smart speaker device in your home and you can turn off the mic. Overall, this device is replacing my Google Home.

    Great speaker for the home!

My family and I love this speaker! The sound is fantastic. This is the second home speaker we have had, and it's great. The sound is rich and full. I love that we are able to adjust the bass, which is got great depth. The speaker is on all the time in the home. One of the great features is the built in Alexa (I haven't used the Google Assistant yet). This allows my kids to request their favorite songs with ease. Like with all voice assistants, it isn't always perfect, but it does a good job understanding what we are looking for. Another part we really enjoy are the presets directly on the speaker. It is nice to have the ability to just tap a button and get one of our favorite playlists started. Also, the app is really clean and intuitive. It was so easy to set up the different music accounts we have and to switch back and forth. This is the first Bose speaker we have owned, and now we know why everyone likes them. Great Speaker!

    Big Sound Small Package

    Posted .
This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.

This is an unpaid review of the Bose Home Speaker 300. At first look, I wondered what kind of sound was going to come out of this little speaker. In reality, quite a bit, and pretty good sound. It does provide room filling sound with an amazing bottom end for the size of the speaker. Since Bose has always been a strong mid-range speaker, this one does not disappoint. The highs are smooth but I would prefer them to be a little crisper I have listened to a number of musical genres, and found it handles most of them well. If there is a very heavy bassline the speaker will distort if played at a loud level, which is understandable. The unit is fairly easy to set up and the Alexa voice control makes operating the unit very easy. The speaker can be placed just about anywhere and is very unobtrusive. At this point in the review process its "so far... so good".

The Bose® - Home Speaker 300 with Built-In Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Voice Control comes well packaged, and is very good looking. Set up was a bit of a chore at first, but after a software update easy peasy. I have used both Google and Alexa. Both set up easily enough, and the voice quality was outstanding. I found Alexa more responsive and accurate to use. However both had difficulty turning off or stopping the music. The volume was easy to control however. Go figure! The sound is mono, not stereo. Disappointing, but the quality was typical Bose, and that's a good thing. Music was rich and full bodied. Not a lot of distortion at high volume. I like that. All in all the Bose® - Home Speaker 300 with Built-In Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Voice Control, is a good choice if looking for a speaker that's expandable and offers your choice of personal assistant. Cheers!!

I bought this for my husband as a gift for his home gym. We tried setting it up and of course you have to download a app. In the app it gives you the option to use pandora or Spotify etc. that’s not what we wanted. I wanted him to be able to play the hundreds of dollars worth of music he has downloaded in his phone. The instructions say to download the app and plug it in. I tried to google how do you play your music on your phone to this “Bluetooth” speaker and can’t find a clear solution. I will definitely be returning this.

      Hi Jess,

The Bose Music app can be used to stream music from various music services over your Wi-Fi network directly, rather than playing from the phone. If your husband wants to play the music stored on his phone, this can be done via Bluetooth or Airplay if it is an iPhone. To connect to the speaker via Bluetooth, follow the steps shown here: https://bose.life/3n6kCFz And to connect with Airplay, follow the steps shown here: https://bose.life/3mXjXpQ

      I hope this helps!

This is a compact smart home speaker with BIG sound. Bose knows bass, and they get it right on this model. Music and speech sounds rich and clear from electronica to hip hop to NPR to audio books. Having Google and Alexa baked into one device opens a world of smart home possibilities. There are some things one does better than the other, and with this device you don’t have to choose. I prefer Alexa for playing my books and music, but Google for reminders and shopping lists. But where the Home 300 truly outshines competitors is the microphones. No matter how loud the speaker is playing, it can still clearly hear commands. That’s something Other brands have not quite mastered. Kudos to Bose, quality sound, build, and tech—again.

This is seriously the best speaker I have ever used! The set-up is a breeze. Literally zero effort or knowledge needed to set it up. I have it with my Alexa so I love how I can control it from any room in my house! The sound is AH-MAZING! The bass is phenomenal. It is small so takes up literally no room on my countertop in kitchen. Came wrapped in a beautiful felt like wrapper and a beautiful box! We have always loved Bose so this is no different. It is high quality as usual. The best speaker I have ever used.
