The Bose Home Speaker 300 is really a great little speaker with its built-in Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant voice control once it is properly setup. I really like the sound quality and how the sound seems to fill the room despite technically only being a mono speaker. The built-in voice control features are amazing and really make the speaker more than a speaker due to the versatility that comes with being able to use Amazon Alexa or the Google Assistant. Overall, this is a great speaker for its size once it is up and running and the built-in Amazon Alexa / Google Assistant functionality really put this speaker over the top. I highly recommend it!

Not a good speaker, the sonos blows this out of the water.

After a very frustrating time trying to overcome the update loop, I was finally able to setup the Bose Home Speaker 300. This is the fourth and latest smart speaker released by Bose and is considered the “junior” of the Bose Home Speaker 500. Obvious differences include the size of the HS 300 at roughly six inches tall and the lack of an LCD screen. And unlike the HS 500, this model is not stereo capable but offers a 360-degree monaural sound. The top portion of the HS 300 is similar to the HS 500 which makes it obvious that the operation of both models are the same Being a smart speaker, obvious requires an app in order to set up this unit which is the Bose Music App. First thing to note is for the app requiring it to discover the unit and enabling a Wi-Fi connection. Next would be to choose which music services you would want and which voice assistant you’d like which are Alexa and Google Assistant. Once setup, you’re pretty much good to go. You can start playing music by issuing voice command, using the Bose app or via BT or even Airplay. The unit also has an auxiliary jack should prefer to music via cable. The sound output is generally room filling and has a decent but flat sound which may underwhelm some users. The app though has at least bass and treble controls to suit one’s sound preferences. And while the sound output is generally good, I personally feel that this model lacks that “signature” Bose sound which I’m used to. Operation of the unit is pretty much intuitive and generally no need for a full manual though you can download one. This system enables you to preset six stations. A mute button is also included together with mic on/off button. Likewise, BT and Aux buttons can also be found. And let’s not forget the pause/play and volume buttons. So pretty much that’s it. Also, like other smart speakers there is no power switch. The unit goes to sleep when there is no activity or you can press both the minus and BT buttons simultaneously. And of course you can always use voice commands. Like the HS 500, the HS 300 does not have NFC nor a battery which may be a dealbreaker for some people. There is a lot to be liked about the Home Speaker 300 after all it is a good speaker. But Bose’s failure to have the model work immediately on day one of release gives a negative impression on the unit and the Bose brand in general. I’d still recommend the it for people interested in the Home Speaker 300. But they should be aware of the nuances of the initial setup. But Bose is aware of this and is already addressing this problem. As such, I am removing one star for an erstwhile good speaker.

This speaker is exactly the reason Bose is widely trusted as the superior leader in sound. The sound quality is astonishing, with deep bass and well-balanced treble; so good it'll have you wondering how they packed all that quality in such a small speaker. Product packaging is exactly what you expect from Bose: extremely appealing and stylish. The speaker itself is aesthetically pleasing to look at and will easily blend in with any room. Installation is a piece of cake and ease of use is exceptional; paired easily with my phone. Bluetooth, AirPlay, and the Bose Music app itself work wonderfully. If you're looking for quality aplenty packed inside a smaller speaker, this is your go-to.

This home speaker my be small, but rest assured that it packs a powerful punch!! The bass has a nice deep pounding to it and the higher pitch tones do not get distorted like with some other ones. I like that you can have six pre set channels just like with an old school radio! It has a cool sleek look to it as well so it is not an eye sore sitting on my counter. It looks great! Overall I am impressed and satisfied!!

This Bose speaker provides awesome sound. The bass is great, and the clarity is awesome. The sound really fills the room. The speaker did take some time to set up as part of the setup was downloading updates. After this, the product was very easy to use. The built-in Alexa and Goggle features are a nice touch. My teenagers really like the amount of sound this speaker puts out.

I love the sleek all black design and its size fit perfectly in my small bedroom without making my dresser look cluttered. The design is stylish & complmentry to most decors. It's easy to move from room to room. It was also easy to ask questions and listened very carefully to your commands. Time, weather, current news, traffic reports. The Bose 300 actually listened a little too carefully because every time the TV said Google it would answer, but other than that it's absolutely perfect with amazing sound quality and clarity. This speaker is so simple to use I, a tech newbie, was even able to set it up in less than 10 mins! It was a simple process to download the app and connect all of my music accounts(Pandora and Amazon music), my Google account, my Bose Soundtouch 10 and my Amazon smart TV. I really fell in love with this speaker due to it's sound quality but another major reason I adored it was due to the Google Assistant. I love being able to listen to music without having to get up, I set the presets and just ask Google to play Pandora. And that's it.

This small Bose home speaker 300 has impressed me a great deal. The sound quality is superb. I located the Bose Home Speaker in the largest room of my home which has a cathedral ceiling and the room measurements are 30’ X 25’. The Bose 300 had no trouble filling the room with high quality sound. Set up with my iPad went flawlessly. Bluetooth connection has on interruption at over 30’ away from the unit. The Bose Home Speaker looks and feels well built. Even the box it come in is impressive. I find myself searching for more and more dynamic music to play on this Bose 300 because it is like I’m hearing my favorites for the first time. There’s is plenty of volume available and can be adjusted through the Bose app, at the top of the unit or with a voice assistant with a simple “Alexa, volume down.” I would recommend this Bose Home Speaker 300 to any of my friends.

Great bass and sound in general from such a small device. Took a while to update its software at start up but after that it was smooth sailing all the way and flawless function. The sensitive microphone hears our commands no matter how loud the music is and Google Assistant responds quickly.

The Bose Home speaker 300 is an average sounding speaker. The voice assistants are easy to set up and work well. However, I wasn't very impressed with the sound. It doesn't sound bad at all. I just expected more from Bose. The Bluetooth speaker market is very saturated with speakers that sound better than this Bose speaker. The bass was average compared to other similar sized speakers I own. It has the Bose name so build quality is excellent, of course. If you are looking for a voice assistant/Bluetooth speaker you might want to pass on this one unless you are looking to have this in a small space or room. I always recommend going in to your Best Buy and listen before you make a purchase. Everyone's taste in sound is different.

Bose has done it again! The sounds quality of the speakers is awesome. It has very clear tones and base that you can feel. Set-up was very easy using my iPhone. It took a few minutes to download the app and install an update to the unit. All in all it took about 10 minutes to get everything working. The setup instructions were very easy to follow on the iOs app. A nice feature is that the unit comes with both Siri and Alexa. We started with Siri and then quickly switched to Alexa in order to use our Amazon prime account. We also synched the speaker with iHeart radio to listen to our favorite radio stations. This is a great unit that combines the useful features of a voice assistant with great sounding speakers.

I am very impressed with the Bose Home Speaker 300. It has so many different options that you can do with it. You are able to connect it to wifi or bluetooth, I also added it to my laptop so I can play my personal playlist. You have quite a few of compatible music apps you're able to use with it. This speaker has Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant Voice control built in You're able to use your smart devices with it. Now let's talk about the sound, AMAZING! I love the sound and the volume settings are perfect for indoors and an outside party. I highly recommend you give this speaker a try, you will not be disappointed.

This product is a step above other Bluetooth speakers. Everything from the box it comes in to the sound it puts out is superior. If you are just looking for a speaker to pump out some music there may be much cheaper options for you. However if you are looking for a durable product that is easy to use, and provides superior sound this is it. The sound up close is clear and mixed well, when you walk into another room not only do you hear it fine, but it also feels as if the band is in the room next to you.

We have been using this speaker for the last three weeks. As with all of our previous bose speakers, this speaker has excellent sound quality! It can be placed in any area of our home and the sound carries throughout the house. The setup was very simple and it pairs perfectly with our Google pixel phones. Since it is a smart speaker it can be activated either by voice, phone app, or touch controls. It's the perfect additional to any family's audio system! I would highly recommend this device!

First and foremost: this speaker packs quite a room filling wallop. I’ve tried it in several locations in my home, from the open air porch, to the cavernous dining room, to my nightstand beside the alarm clock. Each location I’ve used it, the speaker has produced full and rich audio, far better than some larger (and clunkier) solutions (like a Sony soundbar or a pair of Yamaha bookshelf speakers.). Yup, this little guy which is no bigger than healthy Cornish hen, outperforms solutions that are rated to be way more powerful. (That’s just good design.) Now, my caveat; there’s always one. This speaker, while it understands and speaks the language of Amazon’s Alexa... it’s not fully recognized as part of the family. I’ve got an Alexa in just about every room. Echos, Dots, Shows- I’ve got 8 in total right now. One of my favorite features is the “play everywhere” one, where Alexa will sync each device to play the same music simultaneously. It’s lovely. This Bose guy doesn’t do it. What’s worse, he remains out of sync when you try to trick him into doing it- like he gets half of Alexa’s instruction. Seems Alexa just tells him to play music and he picks up where he left off last time music was streamed through him... as opposed to syncing with everyone else. Gets a little cacophonous given he’s such a mighty source of sound! I’ll say, also, that setup for this guy was... interesting. It’s a process. Be prepared. Maybe it was just the unit I got, maybe they now ship already updated, but that was a big oversight for a expensive luxury product. I can understand a lot of folks just boxing it up and returning it disappointed. The clunky Alexa integration and problematic set up warrant removing two stars... however, once you appreciate its limitations, and get it up and running, it’s a solid, very pleasing speaker that doesn’t disappoint in performance.

After a couple of days with my new toy I decided to see what I could discover with the speaker. I asked Alexa to find me a certain genre of music and the speaker did not disappoint. I am amazed at not just how the music lights up the room but at the sound quality. If I had to explain it I would definitely say that it is an experience. You’re not just hearing the music, you are experiencing it through the speaker. This is how I would imagine being in the studio as the music is being recorded would feel. I had to eventually tell Alexa to set the alarm for three a.m. so that I could get up on time the next day for work. At three a.m. when the alarm went off I am not sure if it was because I am used to waking up this early or because of the alarm itself, but I got up without a hitch. However, I did not have to worry about the loud, anxiety inducing alarm that I normally have waking me up. The alarm from the speaker was loud enough for me to hear yet subtle enough that I didn’t feel like an emergency was happening and I had to jump out of bed and rush to that emergency. My only problem at this point was, how do I turn the alarm off? I jumped up and just rubbed my hand across the top of the speaker and evidently pressed the correct button to turn it off. At three a.m. I didn’t necessarily care if I cleared the whole memory when I turned the alarm off; I just needed it off. Fortunately, I did not press any wrong buttons because Alexa woke me up again the next morning at three a.m. So far I have been impressed with the sound quality, design, and capabilities of this instrument. I can’t wait to see what else there is to find.

It took me a minute to figure this out but my child got it all together in less than 5 minutes. After that it was great sound quality coming from the speaker. No static or echoes came through. It was very clear and was too loud or to low. This is great if you want something small and don't like bulky stuff. This is an amazing speaker.

This speaker packs everything the Bose Home 500 does minus the lcd screen. The sound of this speak is great, no shocker from a Bose product. I love having Alexa tied into it so I can just ask for my favorite music and not have to worry about pulling my phone out. I would recommend this to everyone I know who is ISO a home speaker.

This is another fantastic product of Bose which music lovers will definitely enjoy. I have been using Bose product for years and they have maintained the distinct quality in sound reproduction. Like SoundTouch products, this product comes up with great quality of sound, preset options, blue tooth connectivity. In addition to that, this will let you sync with our Alexa/Google Home. I am using this device as my google home and it is working amazingly great except the fact that Bose allows only certain audio providers like pandora, Spotify and we can’t ask Bose to play the music from Google music. Appearance- Stylish, it acts a home decor. Illuminate when the voice recognization is on. Absolutely easy to use, no complications around setup. But it will need power always.
