Product description and boxed labeled as “Apple Air Play 2” compatible but this is not the case. No Homekit product code or scan. No instructions in box or directions on website for how to obtain a Homekit code. Spent an hour on the phone with Bose service Rep, but the Rep had no idea how to get airplay to work. Product does not even work on Bose Soundlink app (as it is not compatible) even though the set-up instructions direct that you do it via the sound link app. Setting up on home wifi network was extremely time consuming and required the assistance of a Bose Rep via phone who had to walk me though logging into a website that only he had access too. Good speaker if you want to use bluetooth, but beyond that, run away.

Posted .Hi there! I'm sorry to hear about this. It's great that you enjoy the sound but we'd also love to help improve your overall experience. The Home Speaker 300 is compatible with a different application called the Bose Music app. Once you go through the setup process in this app, your speaker will join your network and be accessible through AirPlay 2. You may need to pop the speaker into setup mode by holding AUX and Play/Pause. The light bar will simulate a 5 second countdown by changing size every second It will then blink white twice, then glow amber.
