But the downfalls: while connected through the Google home app, it does not have access to google play music (yes I know it's going away), or YouTube music (I transferred my Playlist hoping I would be able to use it). Very disappointed about that. Also, I wish I would've read that it wasn't portable and that it has a cord.

Sorry that the lack of portability has provided disappointment, this does require to have a cabled power connection in order to power on but we appreciate your feedback.
As for Google Music and Youtube Music, at this time these currently are not available in the Bose Music app. But we do have other great offerings such as Spotify or TuneIn integration, but feel free to stream Youtube Music via Bluetooth or Airplay 2 to your speaker!

Hard setup with issues, worked fine in the end

This is a high-quality speaker but it's hard to set up because there are some issues that arise. Overall I got it to work fine and I really like the sound quality and features etc.
