    The Best Headset

The Bose QCX35 II Gaming Headset is far and away the best gaming headset that I have ever used. The headset is extremely light, durable, and very comfortable to wear for long periods of time. The audio quality is second to none. This headset has superior noise cancellation and immersive sound design, to where I can hear the faintest of footsteps while playing first person shooters. Audio output from the boom mic is crisp and clear and works great with Discord. The headset and included PC desktop controller has a button that allows you to cycle between 4 settings for audio playback whether or not you want to hear yourself in the headset. Probably the best feature of this headset is that it doubles as a Bluetooth headset that I can listen to my music on the go with the same amazing sound! Super simple to setup, just download the Bose Connect app, turn the headset on and then confirm connection, and boom you are set! I've used them for around 20 hours listening to music and have about 50% battery remaining, so I'd say it's fair to assume they'd provide 40 hours of playtime on one charge. All in all, this headset is the perfect headset for anyone that loves to game and also listen to music.

Absolute garbage. For a Bose product to fail after 18 months is upsetting. Ear cups worn out (normal wear, no biggie), the main issue is the sound is drastically decreased from when it was new. The PC connector has its own connection issues. And the mic wire was loose within the first few months. 0/10, stay away

I was rather surprised to see that Bose was releasing a gaming variant of these headphones. I've seen a lot of different features attached to gaming headsets over the years - some worth it and others not - but noise cancellation really wasn't something I felt was missing from the space. And after spending a few days with the headset... I'm not entirely sold that it's something that needs to be there either. Don't get me wrong, the headphones themselves are fantastically good at what they do. There are two different level of noise cancellation and both are so good at what they do it feels a bit magical at times. Turning the thing on with noise cancellation set to high feels a bit like being suddenly ejected into space, just without the inevitable painful death that follows. It does have the downside of making you hyper-aware after the fact of all the various background hums and whines you're usually filtering out without even realizing it, but it's usually worth it. I was also fairly impressed by the clip on boom mic provided and its ability to also deliver clear and high quality audio . The headphones are also very comfortable to wear for extended periods due to a variety of low friction pivots and soft fabrics in use throughout. There's no fiddling with the headband or shuffling around the ear cups here. Everything just seems to settle right into place without any argument, and looks undeniably classy doing it. If you take each feature provided here individually there's pretty much nothing not to like. But when I put them all together - I find there are a few problems that keep me from giving it a full five stars. I think that the basic problem comes down to the fact that while noise cancellation gives with one hand, it takes away with another. It's pretty amazing how you can sit down right next to a gaming PC with about as much airflow as your typical leaf blower, flip a switch on the side of your headset, and have all the fan noise and coil whine you didn't even realize was there vanish. But in its place is something new, a persistent low pressure that should be familiar to anyone who's used high end noise cancellation for an extended period before pushing against your eardrums. Not only can this effect be a bit distracting, but it also hits the audio you get from the game at the same time. With the noise cancellation on I'd have to say it's probably got some of the least impressive sound I've heard from a gaming headset before. It gets substantially better when the noise cancellation is either turned off or set to low, but at that point the overall audio quality feels a lot closer to what you'd get with a standard headset that just muffles outside audio rather than nullifying it and I'm kind of left missing my more conventional headset. To reiterate, I do not by any means think it's a bad product, or even necessarily that bad of a headset. In addition to the perks already mentioned it's got great build quality and supports just about every gaming platform out there (though sadly you won't be able to use it wirelessly in gaming mode.) But it seems aimed at a few very specific use cases where its standout features, namely the noise cancellation and highly adjustable design, can be put to full use. And that does come at the expense of everyday usability. It's something to break out for that long transatlantic flight, or the train ride where you're trying to get in a few rounds of Among Us in over your mobile hotspot. It's what you bring to the massive LAN tournament, where you want to be sure you're blocking out the noise of everyone else's rigs as well as the general susurrus of the observers. It's what you buy when you really want a nice set of Bose noise cancelling headphones, and think it would be pretty great if you could also use them as a gaming headset for your PC and console on occasion. It's what you want if you're running a stream on the go, and don't have enough room to squeeze the condenser mic in with all your other gear. But I don't see this being a daily driver for anyone who's a more casual fan of the hobby, unless of course you just really want a nice set of Bose noise cancelling headphones and think it would be great to be able to use them for the occasional gaming night as well.

    Stellar Noise Cancelling

This is a fantastic headset for gaming or listening to music in noisy environments or at times when you don't want to disturb others. The noise cancelation easily blocks out the sounds of a running A/C and fan or a TV in the next room. The microphone attaches easily and sounds nice and clear on the other end. The USB amp is very well built and the volume knob is pleasurable to turn. I also really like that Bose included mic monitoring. I noticed a slightly warmer sound when using the included amp vs my other sources. The headphones sound very good using bluetooth but do sound better when plugged in, particularly regarding the cleanliness and impact of bass. The overall sound signature is slightly V'd with a mild emphasis on mid-bass. These are enjoyable to listen to and present a little more detail than I was expecting. Bass is plentiful but I would like a bit more reach in the sub-bass. Vocals are very clear and instruments are relatively easy to discern from one another. Cymbals and other sounds in that region do lack a little luster and attack. The soundstage is average in width while directionality and placement are handled with a bit more care. My sound impressions were mostly gathered while hardwired, but there really is not a huge difference when using bluetooth aside from the bitrate reduction. For the convenience of wireless the sound quality is well above what I consider acceptable. I really only have two complaints and a minor feature that I would add. Complaint one: it uses micro USB to charge, I feel like USB-C is mandatory in 2020 to match all my other devices from the last 5 years. Complaint two: it only supports SBC and AAC for bluetooth, I would really like to see at least aptX if not LDAC. My feature add would be to keep bluetooth active while using the headset plugged. It would be nice to stream music while using game chat. TL;DR Above average sound quality for bluetooth and awesome noise cancelation. Nice mic and included amp for PC. Minor quibbles, but nothing that would deter a purchase.

These are some of the worse gaming headphones I have ever used. Needless to say, I only purchase premium gaming headphones so I cannot speak for the lower end. The sound quality is very low, and this is not BOSE in my opinion. Returned ASAP and its not tru wirless.

The headset can be used with Xbox by plugging the cable from the headset boom Mic directly into the controller. You won't need the PC controller puck when using with a console.

I expect a lot from Bose because of the name and they used to be the "best" sound products on the market. I tried using this headset for my xbox and let me just advise you that it DOES NOT allow you to hear the game, you can only hear the party chat. I took this back for the Astro Headset which is AWESOME!

TL/DR – If you don’t mind a wired gaming headset and don’t have a pair of noise cancelling/travel headphones then this is the best product on the market for you and you WILL save money and space. First things first, the price tag of $330 for a wired gaming headset seems steep at first glance. But let’s compare these to Sennheiser’s GSP 602 wired gaming headset and you’ll see there is only a $110 difference between the two. However, the Bose gaming headset can do things the Sennheiser’s can’t...well, the Bose gaming headset can do things no other gaming headset on the market can. Now, does the Bose gaming headset work well as a gaming headset? Yup! I want something that isn’t going to hurt my head so it has to be light weight, the mic HAS to be good, and the sound can’t be super bass heavy (I’m looking at you Logitech). The GC 35 II gaming headset is extremely lightweight which allowed me to play warzone for 6 hours without any discomfort around my large ears or the top of my head. In addition my friends commented that my mic sounded very good and asked if I had changed mics. I normally use a ModMic wireless which is a very good mic so for them to comment on the mic quality goes to show you just how good the mic is. The included PC adapter is incredible due to the large volume knob and mic monitoring button makes sure I am not talking too loud by allowing me to hear myself talk (you can turn this off if you want). Should I want to play on Xbox or PlayStation, all I need to do is plug the aux cable into the controller and I am ready to go, it’s as simple as that. So this Bose gaming headset is compatible with PC, Playstation, Xbox, and anything that has a 3.5mm jack. Bose’s product page notes the 2-in1 gaming and lifestyle component the headset bring to the table which you think is just a marketing gimmick, but it really isn’t. When you look at the true value of the QC 35 II gaming headset you’ll see it can be used as a top of the line pair of wireless (or wired…you decide) active noise cancelling headphones in addition to a gaming headset for any gaming platform you choose. No other gaming headset can do this and no other company does noise cancelling better than Bose. If I needed one pair of headphones that could be used for every day listening, travel, AND gaming then these are the only ones that fit the bill.

Much has been said about the Bose brand, but actually to be totally convinced I had to try some of their products and I have to say that I'm actually fascinated, it has been very gratifying to be able to use a product that performs without problems, the functions for the which was created. I will start with the design which if I'm not mistaken is similar to its predecessor however the finish, the fabric and the material that was used to build these headphones feel and of course are of impressive quality. I have been puzzled by the exquisite quality of these headphones, they just look great and in daily use I can say that they are very resistant. Regarding comfort, it should be noted that despite being quite well detailed headphones, they seem to be a bit heavy but in practice they are, by far, very comfortable. I have used them for periods of 4 to 8 hours and I must say that there is a moment when you stop being aware that you are wearing them, even using the gaming mode where the microphone must be adapted. Normally in the ears you can feel pain after several hours of use but with these headphones this does not happen. Having two modes of wireless and gaming make these headphones one of the most versatile audio devices on the market for practically the same price as high-end headphones that are only wireless, not gaming. I used to use another pair of headphones before connecting to play and then exchanging them but with the QuiteConfort 35 II Gaming Headset it is no longer necessary, I feel that they are too practical for those of us who like to listen to music or stream our favorite shows and also play great titles with our friends and family, one can save time and space ... fantastic. It is possible to connect a couple of devices via Bluetooth at the same time and interchange between them, the app is a great ally when it comes to configuration and customization, I could suggest using the app since it has the necessary functions to personalize and get the most take advantage of these headphones. It has, as I already mentioned, an adaptable microphone with 3.5mm connection and an adapter to connect to the pc via USB with included volume control, a charger cable, a case, practically the essentials to enjoy a great audio quality and a microphone with an impressive performance. For gaming they can be used on Xbox, PS4 or PC which makes things much easier. Addressing the gaming part, that is to say, the adaptable microphone, I can say that I had a quite pleasant experience, it turns out that I usually play every day as a team with some family members and we need to communicate to be able to perform better as a team and the day I use for the first time these headphones to play, they automatically without me saying anything they mentioned that they listened to me much better than before, being able to communicate effectively playing video games in multiplayer option, is a key piece to obtain a better result and performance, in my opinion these headphones are a breakthrough for regular users and gamers, Bose has managed to precisely combine both fields without sacrificing quality and raising costs a lot, I can honestly say that it is worth every penny ... I definitely highly recommend these wireless and gaming headphones.
