The Bose app doesn't work to connect them to the phone unless it is reinstalled each time. The earbuds themseves will disconnect at random, and will force you to repair when it feels like it. Sound wise they are great, but trying to use them is like PULLING TEETH! Just now, in the 6 minutes it has taken to write this out, they have disconnected 3 different times.

Unfortunately the noise cancellation comes as a very discomfortable price. they have to fit almost to a custom made level for it to work well. I kept moving them to achieve that and just got an ear irritation. The left pod, dropped sound and does not work equal to the right pod. I tired to find if it was a settings thing but still in vain. So I am giving these away since I can not return them now

Posted .Hi Brian - the QuietComfort Earbuds II are designed to sit stably in the ear, without causing irritation. Be sure to experiment with the different eartip and stability band sizes, as well as running the Earbud Seal Test in the Bose app. If the left earbud is dropping sound, try rebooting your connected mobile device, and try a different device, to compare results. I was bummed when the old pair I had was no longer an option so this pair was the next step up. Every once and a while the sound will flicker from one headphone to the other which can be a little weird. But like I said overall I like them.

Only thing I have to compare with is sir pods, I prefer them!

This is completely unacceptable. The “new” item I purchased was open and had been used. Be careful if you order these from best buy. They were also very difficult to get connected to my phone. The Bose music app failed to connect the headphones almost 30 times. There was no useful troubleshooting on the app either. Very disappointed.
