Bose comparison to AirPods Pro & Sony WF1000XM3
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I’ll start by saying that it’s very hard to give these headphones an “overall rating”, because they hurt my ears so much. However, I will look past that to compare them to the AirPods Pro and Sony WF1000XM3s, in case you have 1 or both of those and are thinking about getting these. I bought the AirPods Pro when they came out. I had the first AirPods which, although didn’t sound great, were very easy to use and carry, and I thought had a great microphone for phone calls. Although the Pros are much better than the original AirPods, I’ve always had a problem with them that I didn’t have with the AirPods 1: they fall of my ears. I just got the new Comply 2.0 tips for them yesterday, which prompted me to write this review. By the way, so far, those tips are great. They’ve made the Pros sound better, and have stayed in my ears. I also have the Sony WF 1000XM3, which, as much as I like them, also fall off my ears. The “ear falling” problem led me to try the Bose. Sound: I tried a number of songs on all 3. I streamed the music from Tidal Hi Fi, so they’re all at higher resolutions. I’ll list some here: 1. Are you even real? James Blake - this song sounded terrible on the Bose. Muffled to the point that I wonder if these headphones are working correctly. As you might have read, the Bose Music app doesn’t have an equalizer, so there’s nothing you can do on this one. On the AirPods Pro, the song sounded much better than in the Bose. On the Sonys, about 3% better than in the Pros. 2. Blinding Lights - The Weekend - This song came out great in all 3. Edge to Sony over the Bose, but not by much. It sounded tiniest on the Pros. 3. Morning Dance - Spyro Gyra. This is a classic smooth jazz song. The Bose won this round. The song was expansive, lots of small details came out, it was great. I also played a couple of Joshua Redman songs, and I would say the Bose sounded better on those. I feel that the Bose will probably play better jazz music, if that’s your thing. 4. Malamente - Rosalia. The Sonys won this round going away. Once again, the Bose sounded a bit muffled. Song was good on the Pros, but perhaps a little bit too trebly. 5. Paranoid Android - Radiohead. This song was really good on all 3, Bose was not that far off the Sonys. 6. The Only Thing - Travis. This was another song that the Bose couldn’t play well either. Once again the tinny, muffled sound came up. It felt like i turned the music down on the headphones (I didn’t). Definitely better on the Sony and Pros. Overall, on music playing, I would rate the Sonys number 1, especially if you use Tidal. For my taste, the “360 reality audio” does make songs sound better. The Bose are number 2, but not by much over the AirPods Pro with the Comply tips. The new ios update that added the spatial sound to the Pros with the Comply tips has made, to my ears, a huge difference. In fact, if you don’t listen to jazz, you might prefer the Pros. Microphone/Phone calls I did several blind test calls with my partner, so she could tell me which one sounded better to her. In all tests, she said my voice sounded “about 70% better” (her number) with the AirPods Pro. She said that my voice sounded “feminine” (I’m male) with the Sony/Bose compared to the AirPods Pro. I then tested the Bose and the Sonys with her as well. She said that the Bose sounded better. For the record, I did a call with my parents with the Bose, and they never complained that they couldn’t hear my voice well. They have complained several times with the Sonys (as well as other people). As for hearing phone calls, to my ears, the AirPods Pro sound more natural. I would say that the Bose are second. Phone calls are the Sony’s weakest link. If you want to use the headphones mainly for phones, as much as I love the Sony’s for music, their microphone is just not good. Fit AirPods Pro - the Pros have always felt comfortable to me. However, as I mentioned previously, the Pros routinely fall off my ears. They have fallen when I’m sitting on my desk, when I’m running, walking, or riding a bike. I NEVER had this problem with the original AirPods. The Comply tips arrived yesterday. I want to take them out on a run. For being in the house this past day, they’ve been a huge improvement. I’m glad I bought them. Sony - the Sonys fit comfortably in my ear. However, they will eventually fall off. This happens if I’m walking or exercising. I have to be checking them every few minutes. Bose - I will start with the good: they stay in my ears. I’ve tried them in the house so far, but they’ve been very stable. The bad: 2 things. (1) the tip flies off my ears. The small is too small to do anything. The medium and large just end up flapping, and have to adjust it. It’s very noticeable. (2) They hurt. They stay in my ear, but the seal is seemingly so tight that it hurts my earholes (the biology term is probably the concha). I used to have the old Bose Soundsport wired headphones, and the tip in those was incredibly comfortable and stable. I might be doing something wrong when putting them in, but this will probably lead me to return them. I won’t wear headphones, especially ones at this price, that hurt. Noise Cancelling: 1. Bose - they did a fantastic job with this. I stood next to the dryer, and I could barely hear it. My partner stood next to me to talk to me, and I couldn’t hear her either. If I turned it off to 0, I could hear her, but even then, the seal is so tight that it wasn’t fully perfect. On noise cancelling, these are far and away the best. If that’s the most important thing to you, stop reading the review and order them now. 2. AirPods Pro - I’ve always been amazed at how good the Pros block sound for their size. I’m looking forward to trying them outside with the Complys, as I think it will be even better. However, the Bose are better. 3. Sony - the Sonys block a lot of outside noise as well. I don’t know if it’s better than the Pros, but it’s right there. Hard for me to pick a number 2 here. Conclusion It’s possible that, if the Bose didn’t hurt my ears so much, that they could be the best overall set. I don’t like how some songs sound, but in others, it’s almost as good as the Sonys, which to me, are the standard. I actually have the Bowers Wilkins PX 7s, and I prefer how music sounds on the Sonys. However, given the pain on my ears, this is how I would rate all of them: 1. Music playing - Sony, Bose, AirPods Pro. 2. Phone Calls - AirPods Pro, Bose, Sony. I will note that I get complaints on voice quality when using the PX7s as well. 3. Comfort - AirPods Pro with Comply tips, Sony, Bose (VERY last). 4. Noise Cancelling - Bose (by a lot), AirPods Pro, Sony.

Bose QuietComfort Says it ALL!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a GREAT product! Although pricey, getting On Sale helped. The sound is AWESOME and are far more comfortable in the ears to wear than the AirPod Pro, which I also purchased. I've had an AirPod fall out of my ear out of the blue whereas I don't see that happening with the Bose given the extra little 'hook' it has that fits along the ear. Look forward to trying them on the plane to compare with the wireless headset to get the true evaluation of the Noise Cancelling. As much as I like the AirPods, the better sound and lower risk of losing one of them is well worth the investment! Last comment-haven't worn long enough to know if the additional weight becomes an issue as other reviews have mentioned.

Almost perfect
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Incredible noise cancelling for earbuds. Great sound quality and punchy bass. Really stable and comfortable fit in ears. IPX4 rated. Good battery life. Cons: No equalizer (but these earbuds have an active EQ technology inside that automatically adjust at lower volume). Missing controls on earbuds (e.g. no volume control, no previous track control, odd shortcut for next track control. Hopefully Bose will fix that with a firmware update in a near future). Charging case is big compare to competitors.

Amazing but a little pricey
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The earbuds are definitely top tier. The sound quality is phenomenal and the bass is great. I do wish their was an app that had an equalizer but the noise cancelling is also top tier. Without music playing, the noise cancelling can mute most sound by itself. I'm giving it 4 stars because of the price. While I do think they are great, they are definitely not worth the price. They connect great and are very comfortable, way more comfortable than the sound sport and most truly wireless earbuds.

Pleasantly Surprised
||Posted . These surpassed my expectations ten fold. Great comfort and sound, the noise cancelling feature works really well. Great buy!

Best True ANC Wireless Headphones!!
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. These are the 2nd set of True Wireless Bose Headphone I have Purchased. I loved the Previous Model and Love these even more. The ANC is Awesome for something so Small. The ANC is just like my 700 series. The biggest thing for me is the comfort. Something about the shape and material that Bose uses fit my ears so well that I can wear them all day with no discomfort. I have had some other True Wireless Headphones and after a while my ears would hurt and even after taking them out have a little ache. Not these. Then you get the Audio Quality. Nice Full Sound. Love cranking them up and just getting immersed in nothing but the music. Battery life is excellent. I usually get about 6 hours to 15%. I also use the right one as a headset. They are pricey but after all, you get what you pay for.

Not sure anymore
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was excited because I love the sound of all Bose products. First pair not staying connected. Second pair just broke after 2 years Bose offered to sell me the Wcw ultra for 199 instead of 299 because. And Best Buy has them for 224. Bose couldn’t replace because it was cosmetic damage I was hoping to even buy one replacement. Apple offers that.

Good but no cigar
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great sound and battery life although the fit for my ear (narrow canal) and the weight of the ear bud, just didn’t work well for me. I tried all the different sized plugs and unfortunately just never felt custom. Running with these did not work and resting with one ear against a surface also did not work. The bud was too bulky. Also, the blue tooth connection between 2 devices didn’t work out well. The buds were inconsistent and I’d have to reset multiples times.

Top Tier
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Excellent Earbuds! Tried a few and for me this one was the perfect choice. The noise cancelling alone is amazing and to also have a great call/mic quality is top notch. Would highly recommend them any day! I work in a very loud environment and for me it worked great. I don't mind a bigger case at all and the battery life is fine for my day to day. Noise cancelling you can't beat it. The mic on earbuds can be a tough find at times, but with these you can't go them. Comfortable in my ear, the wing secures it in place. Once I got the controls down I started to enjoy it more. Can't say enough on how much i enjoy them. Highly recommend them for a noisy environment.

Top tier Bose quality sound & noise cancelling !
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Waited on these since they were announced in 2019 as the Bose 700 Earbuds, it was worth the wait. These have active EQ technology that makes the sound very natural and balanced at every volume, next level tech. These sound really good, the drivers are loud enough and the treble / bass are balanced well with active EQ. All genres sound good. The ANC has 10 levels and transparency mode at level 0 that mimics how you would hear without earbuds. You can control the levels through the App or tapping the left earbud for presets. Overall 4.5 / 5 - the app is works but it still buggy sometimes when syncing and changing the levels. That could be fixed in a future update. Other than that, I would recommend these to anyone looking for top tier quality wireless earbuds.

Superior Noise Cancelling
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great EarBuds. Sound quality is great. nice lows and base without popping a ear drum. Battery life is good. But i don't contently use them everyday. They do feel bulky at first but i have gotten use to them. I dont normally wear earbud or like having anything in my ear. But these earbud did have to take some time to getting used to. They are light but at first feel weighty in the ear. they do look big at first also. But the Noise cancelling feature is Superior. it cancels out all right right noises. That get some getting use to as well. Cancels out a lot of road noices when in the car

Very Quiet, Ok Comfort
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Frequent business traveler - had wired Bose headphones previously, but didn't like how much room they take up in my carry-on. Decided to give the earbuds a try. Bose sound is always top-notch - no exception here. Noise canceling is very good, makes jet noise vanish into the background, and makes the air conditioner fan vanish in the hotel room. Shocked at how good everything on my phone now sounds. YouTube Music, games, Netflix, airline infight entertainment all sound great - amazing how much more you can hear. Battery life is good, earphones last several hours or more, with charging available in the case for quite a bit more. No issues with power on a multi-flight trip (I did take them out during my layover and let them charge). A few "gotcha's" - the earphone tips have long "flanges" (the part that squeezes into the ear canal - I couldn't think of a better word for it) - this serves an important purpose, sealing the ear and blocking a lot of sound, making the active cancelation that much better. However, none of the supplied tips really fit me that well. The medium size tips worked best for me, but they do get uncomfortable after an hour or so. Bose needs to work on this. The case has magnets that grab the earbud to make sure it's seated properly for charging (and the case charges inductively, too, nice feature) but it is possible for the earbud to not seat perfectly and not charge. So you have to be careful or occasionally wind up with low battery out of the case. Just make sure they are seated properly before closing the case. These earbud do have some nifty touch features where you tap or slide your finger on the earbud to do different things. I don't use any of these features except for turning on/off ambient sound - I actually prefer ambient sound to noise-canceling during calls, because I can hear my own voice and the call feels more natural that way. The microphone apparently works well, I have never had anyone say anything about my voice quality on a call. Overall, four of five starts because of fitment of the tips - could be better - but the performance is worth the premium you pay for these. Excellent for travel. Recommend.

Excellent sound quality
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I absolutely love Bose headphones. I have been using Bose headphones for over 6 years now and never went back to another company. These have excellent noise cancelling and I am startled constantly when I’m in my office and someone happens to walk in. The sound quality is unmatched with other brands and I will likely never switch. These are comfortable and they do come with different size ears that are replaceable.I charged the case up and use these anywhere from 2-6 hours in a day and I haven’t charged the case in 4 days now. The battery life is great! I have had these for just over a week and I’m so happy with them.
