Misc observations -Was able to get four and a half hours on a single charge, and that was using noise cancelling the entire time. Didn’t get a chance to test, but I have to wonder if turning noise cancelling off would extend the battery life even further. -Earbud batteries had fully recharged in about 30 minutes or so. Pros +Noise canceling levels are very nice. Highest level pretty well blocks out all the typical office noise. I tried them out in a noisy server room also, and they easily blocked out 90-95% of the fan noise! You can also simply double tap the left ear bud to change between your 3 (customizable) levels of noise cancelation. Lower levels effectively let enough noise in that you can hear conversations near you. +Case displays its battery level when you open or close the lid. +Case doubles as a portable power pack to recharge your earbuds when you’re away from AC. I can’t confirm that you get two full recharges, but the battery level was still showing more than half after a single recharge. +Case can be charged via USB-C or wirelessly if you have a Qi compatible charger. +IPX4 rated, so you don’t have to worry about wearing them in rain or snow. +Sound quality was impressive, as it usually is with Bose. +Very comfortable. Easily wear for hours at a time with no discomfort. Cons -Can’t adjust EQ settings. Might not be a big deal, as they already sound pretty good, but many people prefer a bit more control over their EQ settings -Can’t adjust the volume using the earbuds. Of course you can adjust it using your phone, but I typically have my phone in my pocket when I listen, so it would be easier if I could adjust the volume using the earbuds. Not a dealbreaker, but it is an annoyance to me. -Don’t think there’s a way to mute the mic when you’re on a phone call. Unless I just missed it, I think this is a big oversight. Overall, these are great earbuds, and are now my go-to. Might pay a bit of a premium for Bose, but these are absolutely worth it!

Thanks for choosing Bose! I am so glad you are able to make the most of your new headphones with the awesome noise cancellation and battery life. I would be more than happy to submit a feature request for you for the EQ, on bud volume controls and mute options.

But for full control of your QuietComfort Earbuds, download the Bose Music app. It lets you customize your noise cancellation favorites, manage your Bluetooth connections, set a shortcut, and much more. It also keeps your earbuds' software up to date — and will even unlock new features in the future.

First off, I will say that these Bose Ear Buds sound great. The noise isolation and cancellation are very good, and the sound is deep and rich across the entire spectrum. I own Apple AirPoss Pros, so much of my review will be a comparison of the Bose to the AirPods. For sound, the Bose ear buds, in my opinion, sound deeper and richer with better noise cancellation. But the AirPod Pros are no slouch. Of course, they sound great too, but tend to require re-seating in my ear to maintain that sound, while the Bose EarBuds tend to stay in place better. But that really is where the Bose advantages end. Here are other observations: - The Bose EarBud case is large and not comfortable in the pocket. That means that I’m going to pick up the AirPods when I’m on the go. - Switching between devices is not as seamless with the Bose. It’s a manual process using the Bose Music app, requiring a couple of taps once you’re in the app. - My Bose Quiet Comfort over-the-ear headphones will connect with two devices at a time. These Earbuds will only connect with one at a time. - The AirPod Pro has recently been updated with a spatial sound feature which simulates surround sound. An awesome feature that the Bose does not yet have. - The Bose case seems to be a little awkward to open. It has a latch that can be stubborn, so I often spend a few seconds fiddling with it when trying to get to the buds. So, the Bose QC Earbuds offer amazing sound and comfort and I especially like them for listening to music and other immersive content when I’m at home. However, for me, the AirPod Pros are still my go-to for pairing and use with my Apple devices. The AirPods are the ones I carry with me on the go for calls, music, and podcasts. They are also the ones I use when watching videos on my iPad, thanks to the new surround sound feature on the AirPod Pro. I also have Samsung and Amazon buds, but the Bose definitely wins against those two for sound and overall comfort in the ear.
