The only thing I would change is it would be nice to have a volume adjustment on the actual earbuds and also I wish the adjustments built into the buds weren’t quite so sensitive- if I have to adjust them in my ears, I end up skipping a song, or turning the noise canceling off.

I have the Quiet Comfort 2, but I wanted a pair of Bluetooth earbuds as the overhead on ear style gets uncomfortable after prolonged use. The sound quality on these is about equal to the Quiet Comfort, and vastly superior to my Beats earbuds (as expected). Where these lack is in the comfort and range department. None of the sizes of interchangeable ear tips feel comfortable. I am always acutely aware that I’m wearing them, which is not the case with my Beats. They also have a tendency to move around, so I don’t trust them for working out, lest I drop one into the elliptical machine. I also have to keep my phone nearby or the sound becomes extremely patchy. Overall they’re fine for limited use or phone calls, but the comfort just isn’t there. I couldn’t image wearing them for a long flight, a time when you’d definitely be in need of some noise canceling. I expected better from Bose.

Posted .Hello KayB, I am so glad to hear you are enjoying the Bose quality audio you know and love. I am sorry to hear you are not enjoying the comfort and range of the headphones. The Bluetooth range on your earbuds is up to an impressive 33 feet (10 m). Things like walls can reduce this. It's great that you have tried all of the eartips in the box. Have you tried a different size in each ear? Very few ears are the same size on each side, so this may help with your comfort.

Surprisingly uncomfortable

Bought these to replace my aging QuiteComfort 20, to my surprise wearing these wireless earbuds for just 10-15 minutes gave me ear pain. Medium tips are attached from the box so i thought these are just too big (even though i also have medium with QC 20), tried the small tips - same story. I did follow the Bose's guide on how to properly fit them but it didn't really help - it either feels like they're about to fall of or too tight. Had to return them unfortunately.

I will be sure to pass your feedback regarding this and the charging case onto the team. In terms of the app, you can use the headphones without it, however, some features will not be available.
I do hope you will consider Bose in the future.
