So far, so good
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got these yesterday at the Black Friday sale price after debating between a few different earbuds to choose from. The green SoundSport iOS earbuds were on sale for $49.99, as were the wireless Jaybird Freedom F5. These were $30 more. I had tried the SoundSport before, and enjoyed them, but wanted to go a step up. The wireless of the Jaybird Freedom F5s would have been nice, especially as an iPhone user, but reviews were not great in many areas. Seems like they're not quite up to par with other Jaybird products. Anyway, the SoundTrue Ultra iOS earbuds are fantastic. Bose has a sound signature that I really enjoy, and these in particular have a great balance between mids and lows. I listen to a wide variety of music, from top 40, to electronic, to various subgenres of metal (death, metalcore, symphonic, and more) and so far, everything sounds incredible. I also own a pair of Beats urBeats, an older pair of Klipsch earbuds, as well as the Skullcandy Smokin' Buds 2 wireless, and until now the Skullcandy were by far the best. These blow them out of the water in sound quality, and especially in comfort. Out of the box the Bose have the medium-sized ear tips on and I found them to be a bit too large, so I switched to the small and they are much more comfortable. The wing tips don't get in the way at all and do a great job of keeping the buds in my ears better. The iOS controls work flawlessly. I was originally weary of the SoundTrue Ultras because of many reviews saying that they experienced a lot of noise from the cable, however, I'm finding that most of the time it isn't very noticeable, if at all. If I was a runner, I think I would notice it more, but I'm generally sitting at my desk or at a table when I'm listening and it does not bother me. If you can get these at the Black Friday price, do it. You can't do better for the price range. Even at full price, I'm not sure there's much better out there.

Posted .Hi, Mendoza,
Thank you for taking the time to write a review on your SoundTrue Ultra In-Ear Headphones. We're glad that you are enjoying the headphones, however, we're sorry to hear that the sound quality didn't fully meet your expectations. Trying a different size of the included StayHear Ultra eartips can provide a better seal against your ear, and this can improve audio quality. The medium tips will be installed when you open the box, and there is a small and large set included as well. Thank you again, and have a great 4th of July!
Best regards,
Jesse - Bose Support

Not worth the money
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Very disappointed with these earbuds. They weren't very comfortable for long periods of time and there was a noticeable "thud" in my ears every time the cord was bumped. It was very annoying. Sound quality was worse than stock Apple earbuds that cost $100+ less. I returned them.

Not worth the money
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have 3 boys and kept buying these headphones for them because they like them but they kept breaking. They are not worth the money because they're too fragile. I finally bought a pair of Sony headphones and they are much better quality.

Too restrictive on the ears
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The previous ear buds from Bose were the better option. I would not recommend these particular buds, SoundTrue® Ultra In-Ear Headphones (iOS) - Frost. Even when I changed the ear pieces, the inner portion of the ear buds was too tight and caused me to hear my own heartbeat, which it's very distracting when you're trying to work out and your heart is pounding.
