The sound quality is pretty good but expected exceptional from Bose. It lacks bass which I would assume for something around your neck you wouldn't want to much of but this just let's out flat sounds. Maybe version 2 will be better?

While the bass can only be reduced from the app, I would recommend that you use the EQ settings of the device or source that you use to find a balance that you're happy with - many music apps will give you this option to adjust this! I would also advise that you try connecting this to a different device and listening again, as different devices may play sound differently.
