I was first impressed with the east at which I could link our electronics with this speaker--whether it was my phone, my husband's phone, or my computer, there were no difficulties at pairing the products. Immediately after opening the box, I began to listen to music as I did my normal tasks around the house. I often listen to music or podcasts while doing house work and cooking, but the sound from my phone or other speakers does not carry throughout our house. With the companion speaker, I was able to go all over the house without my phone without any disruptions to sound or sound quality. The speaker was also great for doing early morning workouts at home when you want music but don't want to wake everyone up! It was useful when making phone or video calls as well. Overall, I was very impressed with the Companion Speaker and would highly recommend it to others!

This has really fit what I didn’t even know I’d been missing out on for portable sound. Since the dog gets walked twice daily and the garden needs a lot of puttering around in too, this has already really been used a lot in the few weeks I’ve owned it. The sound is so full, bass is plenty fine too, can feel it in my bones at times. What is such a nice thing is the fact that I can hear surrounding traffic etc while I’m out walking the dog besides the quality of phone calls as well. Nobody has ever known the difference when I’m on the phone with them. Pairing is a cinch, holds a charge forever it seems. Longer than I need between charges for sure. Love this thing!

I agreed to review this product in order get an excellent sound source for my Bluetooth devices ie. my android cell phone and tablet. The acoustic sound quality was excellent; it made me feel as if I was in a sound proof room. The ability to adjust the volume was very easy. I had my son try this Sound Wear Companion speaker with his I-Phone and was amazed at the clarity of phone calls and music. At first, I thought it seemed to be slightly heavy on my neck however after wearing it for a few minutes I didn’t notice it at all. It was especially useful when I received cell phone calls and was able to talk hands free and yet the people I spoke with said the sound quality was very clear without any static. If you dislikes having things put in their ears…this would be the perfect alternative. I would definitely recommend the Bose Sound Wear Companion to my family and friends.

Battery life less than three hours and sound quality is equal to a lesser expensive speaker. Not for me.

The Bose Soundwear companion is great for when you really need a portable personal speaker. It's comfortable to wear when walking, biking, cooking, camping, or just hanging around the house. It does cause some sweating issues, but the cover removes easily for laundering. Great sound for the price point and the battery lasts longer than I expected. Easy and quick to recharge too.

Was a waste of money and my time. Best Buy was bad with the return also.

I was on the fence paying $300 for a speaker but the reviews were overwhelmingly positive and the Soundwear sounded perfect for me. There were less expensive wearable speakers but Bose is quality and I bit the bullet. They sound phenomenal. I have two pair of Bose earbuds and I prefer the Soundwear. Obviously I wouldn't use it on public transportation or walking down a busy street but I live out in the country and these are perfect for walking. I m one of those who needs music around me constantly and wearing it which is hardly noticeable gives me rich stereo sound in every imaginable situation around the house while being aware of my surroundings. I've had mine for ten days now and I couldnt imagine being without it. Its pricey and a niche product. I have six bluetooth speakers ranging from one you can hold in your hand to the Jawbone Big Jambox but I find myself gravitating to the Soundwear. I think it is overpriced but it's a wonderful indulgence and I look forward to using it when I'm not using it.

This seems to be a product looking to fill an awkward niche. Not a speaker, not a headphone, not a boom box on the shoulder. Beautiful solid build, bass to no end. But the downsides are too great to recommend this unit. The bass and general volume causes discomfort in my ears which limits it to an hour of usage with bass set as low as it will go. It also is still audible in the cubicle next to me which defeats the purpose of not using a traditional speaker.

I demo'd this speaker system in the BB store today, and I said, right out loud, "Wow, this is astounding! ". It felt like I was sitting in my living room listening to music on top-end Bose speakers. I imagined everyone within 20 feet could hear too. But when I took the collar off and set it on the counter, I could barely hear it at all. Possibly someone standing right next to you could hear them, but not anyone beyond arm's reach. Now, to my purpose. I mostly use headphones at home to listen to music and television, because I am hard of hearing and the apartment neighbors complain if I use my regular speakers at night. I have a good Bluetooth headset, but it's heavy and hot and I can't hear if the doorbell rings. So I'm just THRILLED about this Bose around the neck system. My birthday is coming, and I know what I'm getting.

I like the fact that you can use this product in multiple ways. I used these around my neck and on a desk. It was good for hands free in the car until it was time to get out of the car. I didn't like the fact that there is no privacy in making/taking calls. The sound quality on these was amazing. It was clear and easy to hear whether I had it around my neck on on the desk.

Now there is a slim chance you can go somewhere and leave your tunes behind. This new speaker from Bose knocks it out of the park. Hiking, Bike riding, working in your shop. You can still hear surrounding things and your music too. What a win win. Ive loved this since the first day and to be honest the only time I dont have it. Is when it is charging. Highly recommend.

The SoundWear Companion has Awesome sound. It was super easy to pair with phone, tablet etc. I found that after wearing it for a long period of time it became annoying to have it around my neck. Also other people around me could hear noise coming out of it, maybe not hearing it the way I did, but they could hear something. Overall great product and Awesome sound

My girlfriend has tried numerous Bluetooth and wired headsets and found nothing she liked. The Bose soundwear is the only one that she has found that worked for her. She’s a real estate agent so she’s constantly on the phone, this has helped her get more done while freeing her from holding the phone. The device feels very well made and unlike some she doesn’t think it’s heavy to wear at all. If you don’t like wearing headsets or having something in your ear this is a very good choice.

Use this at home and work. great sound and people around me dont even hear it. I also use it thru bluetooth to talk on phone for hands free. Wont be sorry you bought this.

Let me first say I love this speaker. I got a firmware update out of the box so that could mean great device support. The in-call audio is awesome and music hey what can say its Bose. The companion app is ok not really tailored to one particular device so it offered features that weren't available to me. It could use a little work. As far as the speaker the only downside was the bass, I need a little more BASS. This speaker is a must for those with a true need to go hands-free.

This was actually my first bose product to try and man was iI not disappointed! The sound was incredible and they are very lightweight on the neck. App is also very easy to use.

I really enjoy this product. Its difficult to find a product so easy to use and this was very easy. Set up was fast. It connected to my phone with no problems and started playing musci immediately. I couldn't even ask for a better way to listen to my.music.

Im a trucker and I have the noise cancelling bose head phones. I can't wear them because I need to be able to hear at all times when I'm driving. These sound loud and clear and I am able to listen to music while driving. The sound is excellent. I made a phone call and I had no problems at all. I wish I had purchased these sooner.
