These are great small speakers for the extra audio sounds. I was hoping they would put out main sound (ie voices) but guess not.

I was very happy to buy the speakers however they are Wi-Fi dependent and if you do not have Wi-Fi service it will not work.

      Hello KRM007,

Thank you for leaving your review of the Wireless Surround Speaker for Home Theatre. The speakers are designed to be used with our smart line-up including the SoundTouch 300, Soundbar 500 and Soundbar 700. These are all internet-connected devices that require WiFi to access the full features of the products.

I hope this clears things up.

The reviews were very mixed. Turn the tv to cinema mode helps, but they are still on the quiet side. They will suffice until the next model is released

Don’t be fooled by the brand name. These are definetely not worth the $400. In retrospect, I wish I would’ve gone with a Klipse home theater system. Better quality for less $.

Hi Justin, Thanks for leaving a review of our Wireless Surround Speakers. I'm sorry to hear that you are disappointed by their performance. You are able to control the volume of these speakers in the Bose application. Dependant on the system you have, the method differs. I would recommend reaching out to the team for assistance here: https://bose.life/1RwxI8E. Kindest, Kerri - Bose Customer Support bose

Thanks for taking the time to review our surround speakers!
Depending on which console you have connected these speakers to will depend on how you would access this, but the volume for these rear speakers can be adjusted independently if you are unhappy with the standard level of volume.

I love Bose. But, these are garbage!! “Wireless”? Hardly. 10 ft of wire to contend with and the sound? What sound? I had them turned up to 100 ans still had to put my ear up against them to hear anything!! Disappointed isn’t even the right word for these. These were my Christmas gift this year. They are going back TOMORROW!! Don’t waste your money. $400 for these is absurd!! Just an FYI I had these connected to a Bose soundbar 900 w/ a 700 subwoofer.

I really thought these were going to be truly wireless, battery powered. Instead the only thing wireless is the signal but it still requires this giant block that is as big as the speaker to plug into the wall for power. Really disappointed for the price and function. Honestly can’t really tell the difference in sound.

      Hello!

You are correct, when the Surround Speakers are described as wireless it does refer to the wireless connection to the soundbar. They do still need access to power to function. Thank you for your feedback about being interested in a battery powered version, I will be sure to pass this along!

If you are not noticing the difference in sound, then there are some steps to take to make sure you are getting the best out of them! The first is our AdaptIQ process that tunes the system to your room. You can find information on how to run this here: https://bose.life/2yWfsc2

On the audio page in the app, there will also be a volume control for your surround speakers to allow you to tweak it even further to suit your tastes as well!

The app is necessary to set up the speakers. Guess what? The app is horrendous. It does not work. I searched in their community and I'm not alone. I ended up returning the speakers. I do love the LG 65" OLED TV I bought!!! OMG I didn't know what I was missing.

    Defective sound

Purchased open-box but like new condition, to go with newly purchased Bose Smart Soundbar 300. Reviews on BB site are so positive, though not as positive on the Bose site and other sites. Connected these wireless speakers to the soundbar using the Bose app, but the sound on these wireless surround speakers was terrible--choppy and barely audible. Controls on Bose app didn't help. Clearly defective. Returned. Need better quality control on returned merchandise--this problem should've been detected before re-selling.
