I did not intend to use it for making videos, but I do see that it could be useful for that purpose. I would recommend that a friend contemplating making videos consider this item.

Not quite what I needed

But alas the stand won't hold my phone in the preferred position unless it's pretty vertical so that's a serious limitation. The multi channel light with various brightness is good but if it have it behind the phone and toward me, it's really bright so i end up squinting.

Not too Bad of a lamp

The only problem is the cell phone stand part. It's way too small for larger iphones and therefore, I cannot use it. Otherwise the lamp works well and I'm no longer looking shadowy when I'm on conference calls at work.
