It appeared to be factory sealed and wrapped, so likely a quality control issue at factory/packing center. The item appeared to be well designed and made, however, it was returned as a critical component was missing.

Worked for two months

It’s a good light

However it doesn’t work for me as a ring light for iMac videos. The light is too small and casts shadows on my face. Another reviewer mentioned get 2, one for each side of your face, that may work better. Also consider the amount of light you have in the room in general—my computer area is quite dim to begin with. So I’m using it for task lighting now, and it works well for that purpose.
