Affordable hood for a beginner

Not Worth It!

The mounting mechanism (screw-on) is cumbersome and does not provide for a precise fit on the lens. Normally a $10 product would not elicit a review but in this case don't skimp and I would highly recommend purchasing the genuine canon lens hood instead. It is also made of plastic but it fits the 58 mm lens MUCH better and as a result will hold up better to numerous mounting/dismounting.
