OK, not great for heavier phone cases
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.The holder is not that big - the longer arm is roughly 2", and the magnet is roughly 1". Phone case for my Iphone 11 is a Luvvitt Ultra Armor Case, which has two pieces. Inner piece is a rubber body the the size of a typical case, the outer piece snaps on and is heavier plastic. The magnets are attached to the inner case. This won't support the phone with both pieces attached, but works fine for just the inner case.

I would recommend placing the magnet on the outside of your case if it is rather thick, because if it is on the inside, this could be blocking the magnetic field. The magnet is designed to work on the inside of a phone case, but may not work ideally with the heaviest type of phone and thickest type of case.
