To my knowledge, the AutoGrip Magnetic mount will still require you to install the metal magnet disk to the back of your device even if you have the MagSafe feature on your iPhone. This is because the MagSafe feature is designed to be compatible only with specific mounts, just as the magnetic disk for this mount is specifically designed to be compatible with the AutoGrip. Q: Will the magnet on the back of the cell phone case damage the electronics of the phone?
A: No not at all the metal is perfectly cut it will just be tough to removed it once it’s one there
A: I bought this to use in a rental vehicle and it worked great and have used it numerous times since then never had a problem with it falling out
Q: Can you put the disc magnet inside your phone case?
A: Hi there, thanks for your question. The magnet is designed to be strong enough to work through your phone case. However, we have heard in certain instances that customers phone cases were too thick for this to work. As long as your case isn't rather thick like an Otterbox is, it will work through the case.
