But I also found that with the clamp removed this can mount to the back of my XM Radio. In my vehicle there is no place to mount the XM radio that is convenient with this bracket I can mount it below the current in dash radio and have full access to it easy.

However it does Restrict the use of the air vent that it is attached to do to the grasping mechanism. I Might look into a windshield or a dashboard mount instead of this next time.

Also, I would like to have a way to attach it to something else other than the vent. The back of the phone can get hot or cold, depending on if the AC or heat is being used.
