Bought this item and tried to install it in my 2015 Prius vent, it does not fit. I did not waste too much time though. I didn't want to force it, in case it breaks. If it does fit in your vent it will probably be a good mount. I purchased another bracketron mount with similar setup. Works pretty good.

I had one that stuck to the windshield but it got in the way sometimes and would fall off at times. so although not perfect it works for me.

I do think that some cars will have vents that don't align with the bracet as well as others, but for me it's perfect.
