Works okay. Holds phone and GPS but doesn't stay in place.

Super expensive and doesn't hold onto anything well.

I bought this model before and it is very good to keep your phone/GPS within easy reach and visible. Eventually the brackets would not stay closed but given the reasonable price, I bought another one

i bought this since my suction cup was no longer adequate, and i basically would have hold my gps in my hand while driving. this helps a lot, better than nothing, it's a it tricky to put on depending on the design of your air vents. i like that it has multiple points of adjustments. However it could use improvement. it feels cheap and flimsey. it does not hold firm and sometimes my phone falls off during bumpy rides with a slight uphill grade. to compensate I angle it up ward so that it's sitting in the holder via gravity.

Got this so I can use my phone (HTC One) for GPS purposes. It allows me to do this now. Clipping on to my ac vent was pretty easy. Product holds my phone well. Product is not made what I would call high grade plastic. If one were to have to remove and reattach this to an vent a number of time i feel like it would break pretty quickly. As I don't plan on doing this, so I think I'll be ok. I have a 06' chevy truck and my ac vents swival left to right and if i take turn to sharp the holder will swing away causing it to face the passager seat. More of a flaw with my truck than with this product. but something to think about.

The only drawback of this device is the clips seem flimsy. I have owned this for a little over a week and works great and does the job well. I did register the product and noticed an internet link to replacement clips on its literature. Low and behold they send you replacement clips no charge and just for good measure I order 1 set for backup in case of breakage on the road. Went to the mail today and they put two sets in an envelope (which I found very generous of them). Once I'm done with this model I will be looking for another Bracketron product just for the great customer service alone.

Using this to mount my Palm Pre to the air vent in my car for when I want to use the Pre's GPS. This provides a good solid and secure mount, and it fits the Pre nicely. It's also quick and easy to attach and detach the Pre once you've done the initial installation of the vent bracket. This kit includes several mounting options, but I'm using the vent mount. The other options are to use the included 3M removable tape, use the included adapter plate & screws to attach to a different mount, or attach the main body to another T-Notch compatible device. A key feature here is the 360 degree ball mount which lets me angle the mount so that the Pre faces towards me and allows me angle it to minimize glare on the screen from the sun. Make sure that the ball mount is shown on the back of the package as I've read elsewhere that some people who bought this got one that did not include this mount. Even if you buy a different mount, I'd make sure that it has a ball attachment as this is so useful. When not using the GPS, it is simple to remove the main body of the Grip-It (that holds the Pre) so that only the small mounting bracket is on the vent.

Good product. It works well for us. The only problem is the life duration.

This is the best phone holder I have ever owned. I have gotten a ticket for talking on my phone this helps me with talking on the phone and not get a ticket! Very impressed. Easy to install.

This mount is easy to install. You can adjust it fairly easy if needed. The only downfall is its kind of bulky.

Setting up the holder clips on the vents was hard in the first place. Next he side holders which were not spring type, so had to keep pressing then until you reach a point which will fit the phone. Since the bottom part does not have a clip to hold it steady, it keeps making a noise at every bump or uneven surface if you don't have the phone on it to keep it down steady. I chose this since it was easy to reach to the phone on the vent clips that to have something on the windshield which was kind of distracting.

The holder is great, only thing the clips are too short for a 2015 Toyota corolla. How would you get longer clips. It would be nice if there were two sizes in the box.

Broke after 3 weeks. It will no longer widen when you push in the release lever. I do like the spring loaded design to keep it well attached but still multi positional in the vents.

Works as advertised. I much prefer these types of holders over suction cup type that attach to the windshield. The frustration with this particular product however can be with locking into place within a vent. Not every vent is equal in a vehicle, so keep that in mind - as it may not fit properly where-as others will have no problem.

Bought a second car...bare bones. No navigation so I needed the bracket to hold up my phone. Needed it for navigation .

I really want this product to work but it keeps breaking. The Best Buy people have been great exchanging it twice. I love that it mounts to the air vent and it holds my iPhone with a case but the brackets that attach to the vent have broken twice. The first time it broke within the first hour after I went over a speed bump and the second time it lasted almost six weeks but the same bracket broke. Just got my third one so I'm hoping it lasts. The design is right but the quality of materials need to be stronger. At least it's not all that expensive at around $20 but I would pay more if it would last a lot longer.

I purchased this item exactly 14 days ago (I only know because I am returning it today). First, I paid 19.99 instead of the 8.99 price listed. Always check Best Buy prices online first. Second, last night on the 13th day of ownership, I gently pulled the mount off to move it the passenger middle vent, and the little hooks broke off in my vent. Too bad because I love the luxury of having it, BUT really cheap plastic doesn't go very far. Glad I didn't miss my return window!

I was looking for a vent mount for my new Motorola Droid phone to allow me to use the GPS navigation function more easily and other features. This mount is very adjustable and my Droid fits very well. I have access to the USB port for charging and the volume rocker on the side of the phone. The mount is easy to attach to the vent and I've set it up in a couple of cars. Trying to detach it from the vent takes a little more time and can be a little frustrating at times. The mount is pretty adjustable but there is a little lack of fine tuning. Overall a great product and would highly recommend it for mounting electronics in your car, much better than windshield suction cup mounts I've used in the past.

This item is good for my 2016 Sienna. It does what it supposed to do. Just one down side - it was little inconvenient to install the small arms to attach to the vent.

I use it every day. I'd give it an excellent rating, but I've had to return it once already for randomly breaking. The ratcheting mechanism that is used to open the arms that hold your phone broke. - Bestbuy was cool and replaced it without issue, but it makes me doubt the build quality.
