Does not work as well as first thought because it will not stay on the windahield

I purchased this mount for my iPod and my PDA and it worked very well for quite a while. The first thing to go, however, was the suction cup, which broke off, beyond repair. I managed to mount the remaining part onto the dash of my truck in return. The biggest complaint I have about this product is the plastic gear construction on the inside. Over time, it weakened from adjustments and eventually broke, beyond repair. I would reccomend shopping around and finding something a little sturdier.

I've had this unit since March. It worked great for a while but now won't stick to the windshield. Best Buy won't replace it, says I have to call the manufacturer... the manufacturer's website says that I'm responsible for shipping which costs almost as much as buying a new one. Evidently it's not designed to stand up to sunlight which is crazy for a windshield mount.

This cell phone holder is flexible and very sturdy! I love it so far.

Great for the price, but is a bit bulky. Like the easy of use, and the ability to easily stick to the window, but it wont stay still.

I bought this GPS mount after my current one finally lost suction after 3 years of frequent use. I travel often for work and always bring my own GPS. I needed a new mount in a hurry because I was going out of town the next day, I went to Best Buy hoping to purchase a different one but it was not in stock in the store. This mount certainly did not appear the most sturdy when I removed it from the box. The first couple uses everything went well. About 1 month in, the suction stopped working. Literally, I am sitting in the rental car parking trying everything I can possibly think of to make the suction start working again. Usually after about 30 or so try's...it would finally stick. Once it finally stuck, I had to be extremely careful inserting my GPS and using the touch screen, a very small amount of motion or pressure would cause the suction to come loose again. Then comes the next issue, the universal holder requires you to push a button to open, slide your GPS in and then press down to lock. Well...this worked great until it stopped locking after about 7-10 uses. Add another 10 minutes of trying to get this to work and I finally gave up, tilted the gps back so it wouldn't fall out and prayed. After a 2 hour drive and my GPS flying out of the holder on multiple turns, I eventually ripped the mount from the window and threw it in the back seat, utilizing my GPS for the rest of my trip from my lap. If you enjoy wasting your time and being extremely frustrated, this is the GPS mount for you! Otherwise, don't waste your money.

We have a new vehicle and my old vent mount bracket would no longer work. I purchased this but was very unhappy with it. I keeps falling off the window and I could not reach my phone. I also could not get used to using it with my left hand. I missed the window of opportunity to take the item back so now I am stuck with it. Going to start shopping Amazon exclusively going forward.

It looks like the arm is adjustable but it's not. It doesn't allow enough adjustment. It doesn't allow the phone to sit so it can be easily seen. I returned it.

I've had this item for a year or so now, and love it. It's moved nicely from my truck to my car, and fits Galaxy s4 and the iPhone 6 perfectly.

Thing worked perfect. once we stuck it to the windshield, it was stuck. no bumps or otherwise knocked it off. Great item and price.

Worked perfect. Item is in reach without having to use the phone with my hand. Stays in place. Love it.

Just bought this. It seemed to be reasonably priced. When I got home and opened it, you could feel just how incredibly cheaply it was made--this is the sort of thing you'd expect to find in a $5 bin. There's a little ratcheting mechanism that's supposed to open the mount to accomodate wider devices, but even brand new this mechanism does not work 90% of the time. Assuming you can even get it to open wide, it then does not close with any sort of force, making it feel like it will not hold anything safely in place. I'm planning to return this immediately. Unfortunately, it appeared to be one of the only universal mounts, and the only other model looked even cheaper.

It works, but you cant unlatch your phone without nearly breaking the holder

I'm sure this is made for sticking to windshields but I don't want my view blocked by a phone... I tried sticking it to my dash and it fell right off. I returned it.

I really wish the product page indicated this was "windshield only," as it won't stick to the dash. If you're hoping for a gooseneck dash mount, look elsewhere.

Section turns hard in winter so not holding windshield. Apart from section cup everything good. basic not fulfilled

I can't get this to stick to the windshield. Reading these reviews I wonder if I just got a bad one.
