So I went to work on the vent grips. I managed to finally get them in place after 45 minutes of twisting & squeezing. It looked perfect. I put my phone on the phone rest and the whole contraption hit the floor! I, like most men I know, had thrown away the packaging, making the thing non-returnable. I went onto Amazon & ordered a "Pop Socket" with a vent holder, which I was told you don't carry & in about 15 seconds Voila, job done! Perfect!

Make sure you place the metal disc on the outside of your phone case and not on the inside. Placing it underneath your case will reduce the connection with the magnet and is not recommended. I didn’t like the magnet interfering with wireless charging and the magnet attaching to the phone doesn’t fit all applications.

Make sure you insert the vent clips all the way into the bottom-most vent bar, this should ensure the mount is supported at its base. Regarding the magnet, make sure you place the metal circular disc on the outside of your phone case rather than the inside –– this could be what is preventing a strong connection.
