I applied the metal disc to the back of the case and the magnet was strong and secure. But within a couple weeks, one of the clamps that attach the mount to the air vents snapped off. Very disappointing.

After three weeks clip broke to put on vent. Also you have to put magnet on your phone or case ! I hated it and threw it out after clip broke !

The metal plate that goes on the phone or phone case is not a magnet, simply a flat piece of steel that allows the magnet to hold your phone. ||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.My two issues are 1) it uses a magnetic system to hold the phone in place which by itself is fine however if you have a Samsung S8 with the fast charger it will not charge with the magnet in place. In fact it overheats the phone. 2) the holder falls off the vent if you pull the phone off without holding it. For the price I would have expected better.
