But it was used for continuous use without removal and it's great.

Wish there was a metal mount for phones and GPS as I end up breaking 2-3 a year as the mounting point is the weakest point on the mount

It doesn't stay put even with the sticky stuff & suction. I tried the little magnetic 1 also & it sucked. There wasn't much to choose from.

The problem is that the way this holder is engineered that when you place a phone like mine, which is pretty tall, once its mounted to the windshield the phone is so close to the windshield that you cannot angle your phone upward to a useable viewing angle. The top of your phone comes into contact with the windshield and you cannot pivot the phone up. If they had designed the holder to project away from the windshield some then there would be no problem.

Doesn't work with curved GPS or popsocket on phone

Does not work for iPhone or similar

If you have an iPhone 5 or later, there's no way to connect power and audio while the device is holding your phone. It's cheap, flimsy and there are way better options out there.
