It has an expanded rear clamp to hold the phone in place. The mount itself is solid and mounts firmly on the dash. Excellent buy.

It did not stay in place. Perhaps if I had mounted it on the windshield it would have been fine, but I didn’t want the windshield occluded in any way. I ended up using the holder by putting it in a cup holder. It was adequate but overall, disappointing.
