Customers are saying

Customers appreciate the TripGrip Car Holder's ease of use, stability, and secure hold of their phones. Many also find the suction cup strong and the price reasonable, with the GPS functionality being a helpful added feature for some. However, some users experienced issues with vibration at higher speeds and a few reported concerns about the size and stickiness of the holder. A small number also mentioned challenges with the arm length and release button.

Bought one of these 1 year ago. I tried to angle the actual bracket (i.e. not the arm) in an unusual angle and forced it too hard and broke. It worked great until I broke it. Loved it so much I bought the same one to replace the old one! Stays in place and never comes off the windshield. Very sturdy unless to force to go in a manned it was not designed to go. New design should prevent even that from happening again.

I've been reluctant to use a cell phone holder that holds the phone above the dash thinking it would obstruct my view so I tried the one that attaches to the vent but the phone was getting hot from the Heat or cold from the A/C (even if the vents were set to blow elsewhere). So I decided to try this one thinking it would mount better and be less messy than one sticking to my dash board. It's been a couple of weeks, so far so good. I mounted it right where my rear view mirror is so it hangs well below the mirror. I don't feel it obstructs my view and it's convenient for looking at my GPS without looking down. It hasn't fallen off once but it does have minimal shaking when going over rougher terrain (or torn up plowed Boston roads). I thought the spring loaded arms that go along the sides of the phone to hold it in place were broken but they weren't. There's a little green lever that you push to release your phone, sometimes you have to manual pull it out for it to work the next time you want to put your phone back in (minor inconvenience). There is also a little ledge you can pull out to go under your phone and help hold it in place, I didn't realize that at first as it held the phone fine without it. I'd recommend it.

    DOES THE JOB!

It has been a trip, trying to find something that works with my dashboard. This phone holder has been great because it does the job! Suctions to the window and stays put, hasn't dropped my phone on the floor. I only would like to have the neck a bit longer in order to get the phone out of my field of vision entirely.

Bought this to hold my phone so I could be handsfree and use for maps/navigation for a long trip. Holds the phone firmly in place, can flex the gooseneck where you need it for optimal positioning. Gap at the bottom allows the phone to be plugged into its charger, tangle-free. Affixed to the windshield once and drove 1600 miles with changing temperatures, without it coming loose from the windshield once. Definitely pleased for a $15 purchase.

Just works. The suction cup is strong and the arm is long enough to go from the windshield to cross the upper part of the dash. Holds my iPhone X just fine. The only little issue is that the release button is relatively small, and is close to the clamp on the right side, so it is somewhat hard to push in order to release the phone

great job of holding on to the phone. In construction zones or ruff roads it tends to bounce. Making it hard to read the screen.

I was weary to get anything that wasn't a magnet mount. Now that I'm using a charging case, the magnet sketches me out. This is the easiest, one-handed, phone mount I've used till date!

This device is wonderful, lets face it even though you may have GPS built in your car it is much easier using your phone. And this is where this device comes in handy. Phones fit snugly, very easy to set-up, and the suction which is where most similar devices have failed does not easily break from the glass. It makes a car drive much safer and enjoyable. It was such a good experience that I purchased one device for every car I own.

Don't always trust suction cup mounting, since it doesn't seem reliable, but been a month and so far so good. Securely holds my iPhone6s with Mophie battery pack, swivels as needed. Two items to watch out for: 1) Suction to the windshield can block some view. Not a big deal for me, but my gf noticed it when driving my car. 2) The release button seems like cheap plastic. Hasn't broken, but I am not confident about it long term.

It is great for long trips or places that you don't really know so you can pay close attention to the road while checking where to go without holding the phone with your hands.

I needed to get a phone mount to talk and listen to my music hands-free. This mount works great! It holds my phone snug and has padding so it doesn't damage my phone. The suction cup works fine on my windshield and doesn't fall off with my phone on the mount. The neck of the mount is flexible so you can put your phone out of the way or move it around if the passengers need to see the phone.

The grip works fine, I haven't had it detach from my windshield, even with this Houston heat. It holds my phone nice and firm. The only draw back is that when the grip doesn't have the phone, it rattles and shakes when driving. Other than that, you can move it into any position you need it to and it holds great.

I needed something to hold my phone while on business travel so I could see the map. The store was out of the LifeProof Active holders that I wanted. This one was on sale, and functioned well for the price. I like the length of the arm, which allows for a sloping windshield. The arm is stiff enough, but the support at the window suction cup isn't, and it jiggled at every little bounce. Other than that I loved it and it will be a fixture in my travel suitcase.
