It’s under warranty from the manufacturer, I sent a follow up and also tried calling them a couple of times, there is no response back.

The locking mechanism is definitely secure and the release is easy but the suction cup didn't adhere to anything and when I tried to move the vent mount both springs popped out and fell down the vent rendering the entire mechanism useless. Good in theory, shoddy build. Would not recommend

NOT worth the money!

If you have a large phone it won’t fit. The device becomes a projectile when you turn. It’s dollar store quality.

Suction started getting stiff in November and began falling off. I made sure that the glass and suction cup were clean every time I reattached. Started falling off daily in December and now can't be reattached.

I recommend cleaning off both the suction cup on your mount as well as the surface of your vehicle with water, in order to ensure that there is no residue blocking suction. I would suggest cleaning off the dashboard as well as the suction cup on the mount with water in order to ensure there is no residue blocking the suction. In case your dashboard is not compatible with suction mounts, please also consider Bracketron's other mount applications, such as cup holder, CD Slot and Vent mounts which can be great replacements. The mount, which I was originally worried about, stays put, but the phone holder is weak. My phone has fallen each time I drive. I've had to bend the arm far back so that the phone lays flatter on the surface so it doesn't fall as much. I'm currently looking into a new one.

Make sure you have tightened the clamps on the mount after placing in your device, by squeezing the two sides together. This will secure your device and ensure it does not fall.
